Topic: CD47, two BFN one CD41 one today Posted: 26 January 2010 at 11:52am |
i have an Odd cycle, i havent had AF in 6 wks 3days (5 wks since it finshed).
i have no sign of AF coming. my boobs are sore and swollen (does happen when due for AF tho) and yesterday and today i have wicked indegestion and mild nausea.
i did first test on nsd quickcard, todays test was first response.
are they reliable? ive been told to try clearblue and discover but have limited funds.
should i wait say another week and if no AF then repeat HPT or skip straigh to the dr for bloods.
i should prob mention im PCOS but have been on contraception up until oct but before this my cycle was averaging 22days from starting one lasting 11-14days to getting the next one.

Go see your Dr for bloods, I have had a similar experience with my cycle and got my tests done - all normal, I'm now waiting to have a scan and test for testosterone. My BT results did show that I was in LP and I finally got AF today.

Hi mucky_one, sorry to hear your cycles are so erractic.
I have PCOS too, my cycles varying from 30-72 days, I got referred to a fertility specialist by my G.P who took dat 21 progesterone tests (once AF eventually showed up) which showed because of my PCOS I wasnt ovulating, therefore unable to get pregnant. After a year of clomid therapy I am now pregnant with my first precious baby.
Unfortunately every cycle it felt to me that I had preggy symptoms and when I actually got pregnant I really had minimal symptoms if any.
The moral of my long story is that you have to be TTC for a year before getting referred to a fertility specialist, my advice would be go to the dr asap and get your blood tests done. It took me awhile to get any of them to listen. I would strongly advise to get it sorted sooner rather than later, I could have had this little baby sooner had I got onto it sooner.
I hope everything works out for you, feel free to PM me cos I know how hard it is

hey muckyone, what a frustrating time for you.
i would go get the bloods done at your gp, that's what they're there for.. it's their job and i am quite sure they will not think anything bad about you if you're not utd.
they may even suggest some next steps for you because of the pcos.
thoughts are with you babe... let us know how you get on.

i went and chased up the gynaecologist at the hospital about my next appointment in relation to PCOS. and i will be seen on 4th feb.
while i was there they did another HPT and it too was BFN.
if i still have no AF by the 4th they will do bloods for me.
i just wanna no sooner.
we arent really TTC but if it happens it happens.
its not the greatest time for us but if its meant to be we will take things from there esp with PCOS
i still have no idea why i have indegestion though, maybe its just cos im supposed to have it now

Could it be that prehaps you either haven't ovulated or are late. Similar thing has happened to me very recently i miseed Af for all of november and finally got it on xmas day. I obviously didn't ovulate for the month of december. This month i'm late too but i think it will be only around 2 week mark just late ovulating rather than not. I find that the weather, stress , etc has alot to answer for.

It is really hard in your situation mucky_one, I feel for you chick. I also have PCOS and my cycles were crazy!!!! ( Sometimes 70 odd days!)We had been trying for over 6 months ( I'm over 30 )with no luck and so my GP sent me to a gynocologist. She put me on Metformin as it turned out I wasn't ovulating even when I did get AF. Anyway I was very lucky and it worked pretty much straight away.
Goodluck, it's good you are seeing your gynocologist soon.

turns out my indigestion and nausea is reflux.
have to keep taking gaviscon when needed and it should sort itself out.
as someone mentioned in another thread Vitex can help so i got me a bottle and today is day 2 of taking it.
did another HPT this morning, still BFN and still no sign of AF
guess it will come when it comes
