Hi All,

I have just had my first bubba, she is now 10 days old and I would love to meet some others who have young bubbas. I have been in Chch for not yet a year and am finding it difficult to meet other Mums, I'm 23.

Look forward to hearing from you!! :)

Hi Kristen,
Congrats on the birth of your baby girl
Will you go to a Plunket Pepe group? Your midwife should tell you about this or the plunket nurse will give you info on the next start date when she sees you around week 5/6.
How's everything going for you so far?

Congratulations Kristen, how exciting!

if you're interested there's a breastfeeding support group for young mums in Barrington on a Friday morning. For more info go to http://www.facebook.com/temahuri. It's a really nice bunch of mums and a great way to meet people.

There's also a drop-in breastfeeding group on a Tuesday morning for all ages in Hornby 10am-12pm 156 Gilberthorpes Road. That's probably the closest group to you that I know of. I havee heard however that a breastfeeding support group may be starting soon in the Rolleston area.

For more general mum groups, I think Plunket is a good first port of call. When bubs gets older, play groups and the library baby times are also great.

Good luck!
