Topic: * SCREAM!!!!!! ARGH!! * Posted: 05 December 2005 at 10:28am |
Arrrrggggggggghhhhhhhh!!
I am so frustrated right now...
I decided to buy Andy tickets to U2 for christmas... what a good girlfriend I am!!
BUT!!
I don't think it is gonna work...
A friend of mine was stood in line at the post shop behind SEVEN other people and the tickets were sold out before she even got to the counter!! SEVEN PEOPLE!!
And now she is standing with a ka-zillion other people at Real groovy in a line that is down the street for miles!
And I am sitting here with one hand on the refresh button on the computer and my phone in the other hand hitting redial... "I'm sorry, your call cannot be put through due to overloading, please try again later"
I AM GOING TO SCREAM! This is sooo frustrating!!

DOn't fret just yet - apparently there will be a "special announcement" - a Saturday night concert.
If you are really really keen to go, there are some going on trade me for $5000

From stuff.co.nz website
....However, people outside the Real Groovy store in Wellington have been told tickets to a second show would go on sale at about 1pm.
Tickets from the first show are already on the website TradeMe with inflated prices.
One person had bid $1210 for two general admission tickets that were originally priced at $99 each.....
Hope you can still get tickets!

Good luck! I'm so glad I'm not into U2 in a major way!

YAY!! Finally...
We now have tickets and are all set for the second show! I have two darling friends that camped out last night from seven pm!! (thank goodness for friends like that, I don't have the motivation to do that myself!!)
Emma - I am not that fussed either but was so stuck with a chrissy idea for Andy that it had to be done!!
So pleased I don't have to think of another idea, he is sooooo hard to buy for!

Well done Anna!
You friends would have had a great time camping. The atmosphere at times like that is so exciting and makes for heaps of fun! (Providing you don't get rained on and took enough food/blankets etc)

i think it sucked that lots of people bought tickets ONLY to sell them on trademe. i mean, if something really comes up and you can't go, by all means get your nmoney back, but to try and buy them specifically to make a profit is a bit nasty...then again, myabe just sour graopes i didn't think of it first!!

Yeah, I was talking to them about their camping and it seemed like they had heaps of fun, the sallies came 'round with milo and cookies, they were taught to play poker by the people in front of them... I was kinda jealous til I realised they had to sleep on the street!
I am all for selling your tickets on trade me if you can't go, but I do not agree with the insane amounts people are charging!! There are so many people that want to go, why buy tickets if you don't want them?

yeah i agree with the selling tickets if you cant go but it seems there are a few folk that "cant make the concert now" - how convient (sp?). its just greed really aye. m glad they only limited it to 4 tickets for the 2nd concert. i know they had that prob with the mission concerts too and had to limit the tickets in the end

I'm so envious that you got tickets! Jono's favourite band in all the world is U2, and I would have loved to get him a ticket but alas, it was impossible. Hope you have the best time!!!
