Yay, so glad the first day is over!  It wasn't soo bad.  I was a little lost most of the day, felt a bit unsettled for some reason.  I guess it's because it's a new stage in our lives.  This is it - every day I'm going to have to get up earlier than I'd like, to get Rico off to school!  Routine is going to have to change a bit, so not sure how that's going to go.

He surprised me & hardly ate any lunch!  He only had half a sandwich and a muesli bar.  So since being home he's had an apple, the other half sandwich and some baking I did today, and he's laxing out in front of the tele.

So here's a couple of pic's taken this morning.

In his school uniform

And chilling out with dad after school, eating mum's baking

Did he have a fun day? Did he finish early? Mine finish at 2.00 for the first 6 weeks (so nice )

I guess he had so much to take in at play and lunch time that food came 2nd!

Wow he looks so grown up in his uniform.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

No he didn't finish early.  School finishes at 2:45pm anyway.  The morning seemed to drag a bit, but come afternoon it flew by and 2:30 came around quickly.  He seemed to enjoy it.  When I picked him up, he sort of just gave me a coy smile, then told me how he played rugby at playtime.  He said he cried a bit cos he had no one to play with, but a boy with a red top came & played with him.  I'm not sure why he'd cry about not having anyone to play with, as he's pretty good with his own company & playing by himself.  But something else may have happened to make him cry.

So I think he'll be ok about it all.  Will see how he is on Friday, I'm sure he'll be knackered!

ohhhh yes - definately probably will be! Paris was tired as heck by the weekend. I made her have afternoon sleeps over the weekend to catch up.

Good to hear the first day went well - funny how they don't eat much aye. so annoying. Paris today only ate a yogurt (which apparently she ate at playtime) and a couple of rice crackers. so means she ate nothing at lunch AT ALL! then told me on the way home "can i have my drink bottle please? I haven't had anything to drink all day!" I gave her another reminder that she needs to eat after her stomach problems yesterday. argh.

He looks so grown up in his uniform.

I know, he looks like a big school boy.  If he wore his own clothes, it wouldn't feel so different.

He's been coming home pretty happy and relaxed.  Not grumpy or angry.  It's seems only in the morning when he just wants to chill out watching cartoons & I'm telling him to brush his teeth and get his uniform on, and eat  all his breakfast he gets a bit wild with me and doesn't cooperate very well.
