Charly - do you have time for a week day catch up too? Weekends are usually a bit hectic here!

Yup (I lived in Tawa for 18 years ), but I'll wanna leave time to go back to my Auntie's and get all my stuff in the car to go.

Jaycee, the weekdays are probably better for me, too
I'd rather not be tight for time on the Sunday

Hi everyone!

I've heard some "not great" things about Chipmunks in Tawa. Ie: Not much for the under 3's?

I've never been, so just going on hearsay. Feel free to reassure me it's fine.

Otherwise, if anyone else knows of a neat place, feel free to suggest.
I'm flexible

yeah - a friend of mine went to Chipmunks when her daughter was about 2 and said that it was definitely more for over 3s.

For catching up during the week how about Junglerama (in Newtown) or good old Te Papa? Oh, and do you have a preferred day?

Maddi loves chipmunks...... although I spend the whole time chasing after her and have to help her on most things. Its better during the week when all the bigger kids are at school.

TePapa is fun (and easy to get too)

Junglerama would be awesome (and closest to me ) but I think it might be a bit difficult to get to for the public transporters.

Another option in town is the Southern Cross. They have a kiddies play area set up on Tues , Wed and Thurs between 10am - 1pm.

Wednesdays would suit me best

Wednesday works well for me!
Southern Cross looks cool!
Te Papa is good, too!

I'm bringing my best friend and her little 6 month old boy along, if that's OK?

Southern Cross is on Aro street, I think?
So fairly easy to get to, but would require a bit more walking from the train station/bus.

As an aside, I'm super excited about riding the rails again! I the trains in Wellington.

Yeah it's at the top end of Cuba Street so is a long trek.

Another option is Clarks Cafe in the Library. It has a decent play area and it much closer for the driving impaired

Christy, while you're thinking of distance I'm just thinking about caffeine

Oh and Te Papa is fine for me too I'm just playing devils advocate

Shall we lock in a time next?

How does 10am suit? Or later if it suits more people.

The girls are completely random with naps now so they have to suit ME these days

10 is good for us. I will only have Sophie if it is a Wednesday as Amy will be at creche.

Clarks may be a bit small of there is more than about four little ones.

Te Papa? I think there would be good bus service from the railway station.

So 10am at Te Papa!

It's a lovely walk along the waterfront from the train station too. Provided it's not a blustery day like today

I can't remember the hourly rate of the covered car park at Te Papa but I do know it's a maximum of $12 for the day.

Bus shmus!
It's only 15 minutes to walk it
(unless it's windy, Tishy's right).

Yay! 10am at Te Papa!
I'll text Serenity and see if she's up for it, too!
