For those of you who work from home be it childcare or selling nappies (or whatever), how did you get started?
I need some ideas to avoid going back to work...

I'm lucky coz being a journalist there are always freelance opportunities so when I graduated I started out doing that, then got a contract to write a book, then got offered the job at OHbaby!, all of which involved working from home.

Emma - when you started freelancing did you just write random articles and send them everywhere or was it more specific? I used to be a journalist before I went on my OE (kinda lost track a bit... now I sell travel) but always thought it was something I could get back into when I started having kids...
I have been quite lucky in recent jobs (prior to O) as I was producing business documentation like process / operations manuals, so could easily sit at home some days to do that.
I just started sewing and remembered that I was good at it. Then friends of mine saw what I was making and wanted to pay for some.. then I thought I could make a business out of it.
I started a website and got hubby to make it for me and then just saw how things went for a couple of months. After that I just got to see whether what I was doing was going to 1. pay for itself and 2. be profitable to supplement DH's income.
I don't work from home but i looked into doing childcare from home. Just ring around all those homecare places (porse etc) and see what the deal is.
Porse, Barnadoes and HomeGrown Kids are always looking for carers so you could try contacting one of them if you're interested in doing that sort of thing.
Do you have any friends with kids who are going back to work? You can offer to care for their child/children and register through porse/barnadoes/homegrown so that they administer the pay and provide the educational resourses. My aunty did this we she had to go back to work when her #3 was still a baby - she asked a friend of hers to care for him and they went through barnados for the administrative side of things.
Oh, the baby has amazing information that offers to learn to print pictures easily. You can work from home on social websites like Amazon. These pictures can be your documents and pictures from children to anymore. You must check https://sageseller.com/blog/how-to-see-the-number-of-organic-sales-and-ppc-sales-for-your-product-on-amazon/ and get the latest information about the sales product. You can download their application from the Google application store. Join in for more information.
