Hey guys,well,its almost 5am and since last night around 730pmish i have been getting a gloopy bloodstained yucky discharge but midwife say is just cervix softening and getting ready,I have since been having real sore cramp like feelings quite low on my bump(kinda under bump).they keep coming one after the other(havent timed them cos they constantly come and go).I feel embarrased if i ring midwife and it turns out to be nothing but i guess thats wot shes there for right?wot do u think

Hi Xandersmum, those pains are the same ones that started my labour with my first boy micheal. After about five hours they still weren't consistant but when we got to the hospital an hour later I had dilated by 4 cm. I'd just ring your midwife and ask her, your right that's what she's there for. For Jayden I remember ringing my doctor and saying "I'm not sure if I'm in labour or not" and he was my second, so it's not dumb. Given how early your post is I'm guessing you haven't had much sleep. I was ten days overdue with Jayden and was worried I was dreaming up labour. So I know how oyu feel.

Yep, I would ring your midwife. My contractions weren't regular when I went to teh hospital wither (I lied and said they were because it had been 30+hours and I was exhausted) and I was already 5cm.
Good luck! Hopefully baby will be here today!

i felt like that too when i started labour, didnt know if it was or not, so i ended up leaving it till it got really bad, then it was too late for pain killers when i got to the hospital. Well with any luck your in hospital now and things are moving

hey guys well.............. rang midwife and she came round at around 6am,checked my internally and I was 7-8cm dillated!!!!!I had had a couple of niggly pains just as i went to bed last night but brushed them off as braxton hicks as i had had similoar the last couple of nites but not regular.Anyway..........slept thru till i woke and by 659am she was born!!! So from 5-530am when contractions started hurting(established labour) to 659am!!!how quick was that!!!!!!!was admitted to del suite at 630am so was just in time lol
Harmony Rose Rigg weighed 8pd 5oz(I guessed spot on in delivery room)3790gm 35cm head circumfrence dont know lenght as they didnt take it,Apgar at 1 min =9,after 5 mins=10,She is now sound asleep in Nannas arms,will email pics to whoever wants to have a looksie as I dont know how to get them on hewre.
