Topic: MyBaby nappies Posted: 19 August 2011 at 5:54pm |
Hi ladies, Im new to this but I just bought some MyBaby nappies which is 10x covers and 10x PUL. I put one on my daughter and her pants were wet less than 5 minutes later, did I get a bad lot? Or should I be putting more than one liner in each nappy?

I don't know these nappies but do you mean 10 covers and 10 inserts? Are they a pocket nappy?
Someone here might know them. Doesn't sound right though, they should last a lot longer than 5mins!

My Baby nappies are a pocket nappy.... So you need to put some form of absorbancy inside them. How many times have you washed them before using them? I would recommend soaking the inserts overnight in water then washing and they should be good to go. How old is your girl?

I just bought 15 my baby nappies off TM, they will probably arrive in a few days, so if you're still interested then I can let you know how they go. I will be adding hemp inserts though

I've been using MyBaby's on my nearly 14 month old since she was about 3-4 weeks old. I had issues with the light blue ones kind of getting damp on the outside (replaced with Minkee cow print ones), but other than leg gape pee leakage when she was much smaller, we haven't had any other issues.

Thanks so much ladies, they are a pocket nappy and I have been putting one insert into them. Would love to hear how you get on squoggs! :)
I have washed them all once but after reading on the MyBaby website they recommend washing them half a dozen times to get the max absorbency... off to the washing machine I go!!!
Oh, and my little darling is 15 months old :)

I'd be using both inserts. I've been using them for about 19 months and have had no issues. I use the big insert with a 2 layer hemp one and I generally get 3 hours out of them. They are a good basic nappy, try their facebook page too for trouble shooting.

Hmmm I only washed my nappies 1x and I just folded the insert into 3s (like a letter in an envelope) and that was enough. Lasted a good 3 hours! Is she a heavy wetter normally? Was it tight enough? Where was she leaking... Out the legs or on the bum?

Nikki1234 -I have been using the MY Baby nappies for about 4 days now, and using a combo of 1 thick microfibre insert (all my inserts mixed up so not sure if mybaby ones or not) and a hemp insert. I bought mine second hand, they had been used about twice, so washed but pretty much new. Absolutely love them, no problems with leaking, either through the fabric or around the legs - although we have a skinny girl, so have them on the med size to reduce pee escaping through gapage. Getting 3-4 hours out of each nappy, so pretty happy with that.
I think the person who sells them new on TM has a money-back gaurantee, so if you have ongoing problems, it might pay to see if they will replace the faulty ones.
