I'm thinking about doing a little selling on TradeMe of personalised christmas stockings. What these would be, are pre-made christmas stockings approx. 40 - 50cm long and about 15cm wide at the toe. I would secure any design on them by handsewing the picture down. Then, I would add the buyer's choice of name, cut out of felt and handstitched on. I made them for us last year, and they looked really good. Depending on the cost of the original stockings, I would sell the finished product for between $8 and $15 each.
I guess what I'm wonder is if any of you ladies would be interested in buying something like that. I want to know if there is a market out there before I start, as money is tight at the moment. Thanks.

Yes, plus postage, but as the stockings are fairly light it would be one cost pretty much no matter how many stockings were bought.
Well, I'll see if it will work!

OOh, i'd be interested. having been looking like something for jake and was attempting to get motivasted enough to do it myself, but judging by the imcomplete cross-stitch in the draw that i started before jake was born....perhaps paying for one would be a good idea.
