The sentencing of a father who bit the face of his four week old baby son was delayed in the Rotorua District Court.

The father said when his tiny son would not stop crying he tried to suckle him on the lip, as he had seen his partner do.

Has anyone heard of this before???

Is it common practice, as no one I know has any idea about it?

It does sound a bit strange but my DH used to get DS to suckle on the end of his nose.... it happened by accident and it would calm him for a few mins. Strange I know!!

I was mortified when I heard that on the news months ago. I have never heard of it either
