Topic: Big Waikato Meet Up!
Posted By: mamanee
Subject: Big Waikato Meet Up!
Date Posted: 02 October 2007 at 4:26pm
Shall we have a big meetup somewhere, maybe a lunch, or an afternoon tea and arrange it for a day when all the Waikato mums can come.

I enjoy our little meetups with just the few of us, but I think it's time we had a big big meetup with all the waikato mums, kiddies, new babies and pregnant mums.

Hint hint Emma. Would love to see the gremlins and Maya again.

Any suggestions.

Good idea Renee! Lollipops would be great if we knew it wasn't going to be busy - that was madness the other week!!!!

No idea about where to go...how about somewhere other than Chartwell?

Maybe we could do a picnic at the Lake if it's a sunny day?

I love the picnic at the lake idea! Should we make it for just over a months time so that Julie can come and will give others a bit of notice so that maybe they can arrange to come as well.

Maybe the 7th, 8th, or 9th of November?

Oh cool, lots of interest!

How about either Saturday the 10th of November or Sunday the 11th of November, if it's sunny, at the lake for a picnic?   Or if not the lake, what about The Hamilton gardens as there are nicer toilets, places to sit and things like that?

BUMP for those that want to come to this one. There is another one being arranged for Auckland on the same day I think.

It appears as though I'm pissed off about this, and well call me irrational, but I am a wee bit. Lots of people that said they would come have completely forgotten and said they would go to the other one.

This is STILL on, and everyone is welcome of course.

Renee I thought I'd read through this thread after your comment in the Auckland one - that was an old thread (August I think) I dragged up because I had remembered there was going to be a picnic in November. Maybe it wasn't still going ahead? or maybe other Auckland mums had forgotten and that's why they committed to the Hamilton one? I'm sure when all the mums at the big meet up are back we'll know

GandT - There was going to be an Auckland picnic on the same day. I found the thread to see if it was happening and then found out that the Waikato mums are having one on the same day. Think perhaps the old thread was forgotten about (was back in August). There's a Botany meet up the day before though.

a bit of stuffing and a wig and ben would be a great santa. dfs brother has the shape lol but no way will i get him in a santa suit. i have been trying for a couple of years now!!

i wish to apologise now for tashs behaviour. she has a massive attitude at the moment and no doubt will throw some sort of massive tantrum at the gathering!

lol needing a rain plan! I need a sun plan! I don't fancy getting sunstroke and as I remember there's not much shade there and I hope that the cafes bigger than I remember.

Little Miss Catherine has now gone to bed, she's been hard work last night and this morning also. Last night been demanding food at 2 1/2 hour intervals, and then this morning not eating anything! She's asleep now but if she doesn't wake by 11:15 (she usually only sleeps for 45 mins a cycle during the day) then I won't be bringing her.

If BS is coming down, feel free to drop in and see the little girl while she's asleep, otherwise I'll be going solo at the gardens for awhile.

Friends on their way back to auck have texted to say that they are about 40 mins away, they are a lot earlier than they originally were going to be. I'm so sorry, I don't think we're going to make it.

Hope that you all have a nice time it's certainly the weather for it.
