Ok I have finally decided on a side by side double pram, like the mountain buggy ones ( no gasps from you phil and ted lovers..!! )

However I am finding them hard to buy online, I can not afford a new mountain buggy and tm is only full of annoying people who will not courier to deepest darkest Gisborne without charging $200 ( seriously she quoted me that to wrap and post it ahem)

So I had heard of a website that sells good quality ones for about $500 new but can not for the life of me remember it, does anyone know it??

Thanks ladies

Phil and teds, phil and teds!   You will never be able to go shopping again if u get a side by side one! Lol! Not that the shops here are buggy friendly anyways!

i dont like the phil & teds... i watched emmas girls in it one day and was shocked to discover the one in the back playing with the wheel - which had all sorts of crud on it - despite the wheel guard. cause those hands then go in the mouth ....

I got rid of my side by side, partly coz it was a PITA being so wide, but also coz the gremlins used to attack each other in it. Now they can't reach each other!

I'm gonna get a phil n teds when we decide on number 2.. but I'm gonna have my daddy make me better wheel guards cos I'm with deb, I don't like how they can get their hands all over the yucky wheels etc

i've got a childcare buggy with a toddler seat and I LOVE it, but find doorways and alot of asiles in shops etc a bit rough going, as prams with seats have a wider wheel base on them to support the extra weight, so I have a good idea tht a side by side would be waaay worse. Still, it thats what you want, then go for it. Although, can I just say, whenever my 2 are side by side, its nice for about 3 minutes, then she pulls his hair and he bites her hand, so she screams and bites his and back and forth and so on....

I wonder if Phil and Teds, being a NZ company, will release the new buggys in NZ first. Seeing as there is nothing on any NZ websites about the new buggys I doubt it. Strange!!

I have a side by side and one in front of the other and I use my one in front of the other mainly. My side by side is a 4 wheeler and it is good too because they can both lie flat. I have been warned that the double 3 wheelers tip over very easily.

Heres a site with heaps of side by side prams all under $500 and free delivery http://www.babystuff.co.nz/products.php?cat=59 - Link

I have a phil and teds with the extra seat underneath, It was great as a single buggy and when my baby was new it was good, except hard to get newborn in the compartment underneath while toddler ontop, my toddler has ripped the footrest as she has pushed her feet on it and its only made out of canvas, i have had to take it back to shop for various rips a half dozen times, and i now have the extra seat underneath as my 2nd child is now 6months, she hates it, her legs get sore as she sits on a 90degree angle and under her knees are hard up against the bar she rests on, its also tiped on me, i went to babystar yesterday and he said to me that the child underneath is meant to be first out and not left in when toddler up top gets out, so that means if my toddler is asleep i have to wake her and get her out and not leave her there,, its not suitable for my needs and i am constantly freaked its gonna tip.
I am just looking at the option of getting a side by side mountain buggy or phil and teds, although i think mountain buggy seems harder wearing with the footrest being metal and the handle bar seems harder wearing and the seats seem more comfortable...

I used Emmas Phil in ted buggy while up in Auckland for Alize and Sienna and it was AWESOME! I was never a fan of them until I used one myself.

I loved my side by side it was jsut a moutain buggy one and had no more trouble shopping with it then I did my songle the wheel base is not all that differnt. My thing about the P&T is baby is so low to the ground. I have decided to get a new pedigree wht toddoer seat I love them they are bulky bit so much more comfy for the todder to see rather then the P&T. Would get my double moutain back, but I gave it away and not talking to the girl anymore. So yeah a moutain side by side is not too differnt ot a single IMO.
