So I broadened my horizons the other day with a drive to Westy land for coffee and met a very lovely Peachy and a gorgeous Lauren. I will definitely come to another but as it is quite a hike from the end of the Peninsular to West Auckland, I was wondering if there is anybody on or around the North Shore/Whangaparaoa areas that might be interested in getting together for the odd coffee and chat on a regularish basis?

Wow Jo, how did you become nearly 17 weeks pregnant already! Feels like yesterday that you announced it
Sounds great though. Would you be interested in getting together perhaps on a weekend in the meantime though? I know there are a few other mums that are now working full time again (ahem SB) and this might give them the chance to come along too

Hi Jen

welcome to Oh baby . what age/s are your children?

should we just arrange a time in the next couple of weeks and see who can show up? since it is such nice weather (cross your fingers it continues) maybe we could meet up in a park or somewhere so the kids can run/crawl/roll around????

Hi Jen and welcome to OB - we would love if you would join us :)
That sounds like a great idea Jillian. We can either do a weekday or weekend depending what is better for people. Only thing is that our weekends are pretty busy for the next month or so.
I would be happy to meet up in the next week or so on anyday but Friday (swimming lessons).
We could meet up at Long Bay if anybody else is keen :)

Long Bay sounds good- haven't been there for ages. If it suits everyone a weekday might be better for the first meet up- Mon,Wed or Thurs's are fine with me. Bear in mind Mon 28th and Wed 6th are public holidays, so maybe not on those days

Snap, Mon, Wed or Thu are good for me - would have to be a morning though because I start work at 1pm. Obviously my bub won't be running around but I have a friend with an 11 month old so might ask her if she'd like to come if that's ok?

Oh dear Jen, I feel your pain!
We are always available anytime for adult conversation :)

Shall we meet down by the playground at Long bay? I don't really care where so long as we can find a shady spot for Miss Grouchy pants to play in.

Hi There,

I have just joined ohbaby and saw this message thread.
I have 2 girls, Mia is nearly 4 and Neve is 4 months. My ante natal coffee group folder early on (saddly) but I am always keen to meet other Mums - always good to have people to talk and have coffee at the park etc with. I live in Rothesay Bay on the Shore so anyone keen to meet up around that area let me know. Probably Fri morning is good for me - let me know.

Date Posted: 09 March 2008 at 11:10pm
OK, so lets plan this

Welcome Linus1971, we are always happy to have another Mum join the ranks

So how about Friday morning around 11am? Sound ok? I would do earlier, but Sam has swimming at 10am in Albany.

Any requests for location this time?

Hi There,

Sorry, I have been flat out and have been doing a bit of work to keep me sane!

How about next Wednesay midday for picnic lunch.... Rothesay Bay is just down the road from us and its a really safe and fairly quite park if anyone is keen.

I have 2 daughters aged 4 months (Neve) and nearly 4 (Mia).

Let me know if anyone can make it.

Lissa

Hi There,

I am working on Tues but I will be going to Rothesay Bay with my neighbour and our kids this coming Wed for picnic lunch (weather permitting) so if anyone can make it would be great - 12.15ish (we have dancing in Browns Bay until 11.50am). See you there :)

hi again,

Well the weather is going to be against us tomorrow so I think we will have to postpone our park/beach outing.

Will be in touch when we come back from our holiday in Australia - away for 2 weeks!

Hope you and your families are all well
