I'm keen to make a trip over, need a PP fix! The markets are on a saturday, they are quite good. Tahuna beach is a don't miss, I love it there and I think there is osme kind of petting zoo there or something? we never make it beyond the beach.

hahahahah!!! yip there is cellphoone coverage down here
there is quite a bit to do around the nelson/marlborough areas...
i have to say i havent been (shock!) to the wearable arts muesuem how bad am i?!!!
the market on saturday is good and like annie i like tahuna beach and natureland, natureland is quite a small animal park but nice all the same for kids my girls love it there, it is free entry for under 2's but about $5 an adult.
the drive over to kaiteri is nice too, if you want to venture over that way, nice relaxing place great playground there (but possibly more for bigger kids toddlers+) but there are swings there for the little ones.
there are heaps of cafes around and wineries richmond has a few scattered all around and has an aquatic centre if you like swimming and richmond has the mall..

Yeah, I was talking about the Tahuna beach playground. I'm sure if she is too little, BS and BSDH will enjoy it anyways...

I'm busy the sunday morning (2nd) we (marb. parents centre) are running a childrens day thing at brayshaw heritage park, with bouncy castles, miniature trains etc so am helping out, but let me know, I am free any other time.

Will PM my cell # later on, have smelly bum to change right this minute!

your DH could in no way be as offensive as mine....

Blen is about an hour and a half from Nelson, and Picton is about 20 mins from Blen.

Ok, heres my schedule. I NEED to make a trip over to Nellywood to get some gears for the kids for winter from Patch and JK, and Rod is playing golf all day on the sat, so I can come over to Nellywood on the saturday to meet up at some/any stage (also have a rest home visit to fit in) I would envisage arrivng around 10ish, going to resthome, going out to tahuna for play/lunch whatever then heading into town for a spot of shopping in the arvo.

If you were plannign on coming over our way, come over on the sunday and then theres the childrens day thingy on, so stuff for Ella to do, then you could go out to picton later on.

Or just whatever you want really.

So what day do you leave Aucks? We should get some "loose" plans in place, then rely on txt after that?

Sunday is a good idea, cos blen has the childrens day thing from 10 til 2 then picton has a "family fun day" from 2 til 4...\
