Does anyone know if you can get tested for an intorance to caffeine??

I *think* this maybe what gives Josh his rash around his mouth (i'm slowly working this out) as he had some of my coke zero and the rash flared up big time. And I found out yesterday while travelling in the car that DH's cousin has a real bad intolerance to it.

Ah, cracking up here too!  Ain't too many kid's foods with caffeine in them so he should be OK!  you could try rubbing some coffee on the back of his knee or something.  But I thought a caffeine intolerance was usually gastro-intestinal... as in, gives people bottom problems.

But it could be something else in the coke not just caffeine, maybe a colour, flavour or sweetner that they use

I'm taking it out of his diet so that includes chocolate (and his party is this weekend) to see if that helps. All I know is that his cousin can't drink too much coke or eat too much chocolate as she breaks out in a mega rash around her face and she saw Josh's and said that what hers looks like.
