Well we finally had our GP appointment this morning and she was awesome! I just told her what had been going on, that she seems heaps better on Neocate and that was that. We dont even need to see a paed for a special authority number - she just ticked a few boxes on her computer and it was done. So now just waiting for the pharmacy to order and them to arrive. So impressed. And she is going to do another child disability allowance for us!

So plan for now is Neocate, try to delay solids until 6 months if possible and see how we are going at that stage. Maybe trial with a normal formula or do testing at 6 months.

I my GP, she is the best! And thanks to you lovely ladies for your support and reassurance over the last few days - you have kept me sane

That's great news Aimee, your gp sounds fab. I neocate, Spencer has been a different baby on it, and yay for the allowance we get that too.

Yay Aimee, I'm glad you got some good support from your GP, it really does make all the difference.
Your plan sounds sensible, similar to what we did with the gremlins, altho we delayed introducing dairy/egg/peanut/soy till after we'd had them RAST/skin pricked at 9 mths. We were supposed to keep them off wheat too but I got too frustrated with their limited diet and cautiously introduced it about 8 mths.

But that's a long way down the track for you, I'm just pleased that you have a plan of attack, and that the Neocate is working wonders for Greer - it smells awful but it really is magic stuff!

Argh, GP called this evening to say it isnt quite as simple as she hoped and it does need a paed to sign it off. But she is hoping she can just get one to sign it off rather than us going to see them. Not too big of a deal, just delays actually getting the formula but there are ways around that

She has been awesome tonight - gone off to sleep by herself. Also noticed that this yucky dry skin/rashy bit on her forehead is clearing up - hmmmm, funny that! Yay, feeling so happy now and actually enjoying the bottle feeding. Just keep on thinking of all the positive things of not bfing, and why I HAD to stop.

Hi chick.  How's baby Greer doing now?

Ugh - so sorry about Friday.  It was all very unexpected.  But I knew those towels and wipes in the car would be needed one day!!  Ha ha.  Jono is very excited about the peaches, BTW - can't beat home-made.   mmmmm!

LOL Andie!! They are so much nicer - wich I did two boxes of them now, instead of one. Hows Ella?

Greer is doing pretty well. We have had a few screaming episodes over the last few days but I think its tummy pain, cos not long after she has a gross nappy so am guessing it will just take a while for her stomach to get used to it. Not sure whats going to happen with the paed tho, hopefully find out today.

Had a bad night Saturday and she was up a few times last night, so feeling very tired today. Going to stay in PJs today I think - bet someone will turn up tho!

Really?! Oh, well thats something to look forward to. Getting the mail does tend to be a highlight of my day, you just never know what might turn up!! LOL

Didnt end up staying in jammies thank goodness cos a couple of people have just turned up. I did consider ignoring them but Hannah runs to the door shouting hello, so that kinda gives us away!

Disability allowance is income tested, CHILD disability allowance isn't, they're two separate things.

LOL at Hannah!
