Charlotte had her preschool jabs on Tuesday at midday. Her arm was really sore for the first day- which I expected but its still really red and swollen now (its Thursday here) and I'm not sure if I should take her back in or whether to just wait it out. Its only sore to the touch- doesn't seem to bother her unless she knocks it or someone touches it.

This is what it looked like this morning-

I can't see the pic sorry, but I would take her back just to be sure.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

That needs checking out, doesn't it? It's so red like it's infected or allergic?

Hmmmm yeah I thought it might be a bit much- I'll give her an antihistamine when she gets home and see if that helps (apparently they culture the MMR vaccine in egg protein?) but if it hasn't gone down by this afternoon then I'll take her in.

Thanks guys- I always worry I'm just being paranoid!

yeah take her back definately. That's what Paris's leg went like with her 15mth jabs, then woke the next morning with it hard sore and black, she ended up on antibiotics and antihistamine cos they didn't know if it was infection some how or if it was allergic reaction.

poor chickie

Don't ever be ashamed to be paranoid! I'd get it checked out too, it does look awfully red. Hope the antihistamine helps.

lol Ana No more until shes 11 now thank goodness.

Well the antihistamine worked- its gone down heaps and the redness has almost disappeared. She doesn't seem bothered about it now either so crisis averted!

Janine- that sounds awful! Poor Paris Glad that didn't happen here- must have just been a bit of a reaction, fortunately it doesn't seem to have got infected or anything.
