Has anyone ordered any lately? I have just ordered a trial nappy and the site said the delivery would be 3-4weeks?? By the time I trial it, then order more if I like it, it will be so long before I get them.

Have others found that it has been this long??

When they did Fuzzi's it took me 4-6 weeks to get my lot.

Do you have a local agent? When I first tried HC nappies I called my local agent and she came to my house, did a trial fitting and then handed over the nappy! It was super easy. This was late last year.

You can buy a trial nappy for the same price as a regular nappy with insert, but you get a booster free. Or if you go for the night nappy you get 2 inserts plus a booster. If you order off the website you get free shipping too.

no one seems to sell fuzzi's anymore...just all HC.
is there an agent in christchurch that can see a group of us regarding Fuzzis!

there are heaps and heaps of places that sell fuzzis now, and they are way way cheaper than HC too.
Mothers Instinct and Tweedles have fuzzis available, and there are quite a few new shape ones being sold on TradeMe (presumably parallel importing).

Going price is $31 including insert, and these fuzzis are the new shape made in the USA.

We have left the 3-4 weeks on our website to cover ourselves for manufacturing delays. The relaity is that most customers are getting their nappies, especially trials that same week.

If you have any questions at all about your HC nappy please get in touch with me as I'm the Oh Baby Honey Child Agent

This is because the company is impossible to deal with! They make the distributors wait months on end for stock, then send the wrong stock and when it is the right stock they are faulty and have to be sent back, in the meantime the customer is left waiting for months on end. That's why we dropped them

yeah right

That makes a really good story Blondinis....

Actually, you can buy fuzzis, they are much cheaper than HoneyChild, and to be perfectly honest I would prefer them over a product that was blatently ripped off

Excuse me?!?!?!? I don't appreciate your comment Maya22

I've been an agent for almost 2 years and I can assure you that is EXACTLY what Honey Child have been dealing with from Mother of Eden from day 1!!! or why else would we ditch what WAS a perfectly good product?

Honey Child nappies are our OWN design based on the generic pocket design.

Such a good product in fact that the HC was a blatant copy... oh except for a snap of course....

Why else would Fuzzis not be interested in using you as a distributor anyomre?

Oh and if you have been an agent for over two years, I find it interesting that you didn't even know that the inserts were made in Korea until a couple of weeks ago...

maya22 - where exactly are you getting your misguided information?!?!?

The error over the inserts was an honest mistake on my part which I openly admitted to

Hi McPloppy... mums and bubs sell fuzzi's... (http://www.mumandbubs.co.nz/), they order in their fuzzi's... but have a couple to show ppl. If you contact them (they have 2 stores in chch), I'm sure they'd be more than happy to answer any questions and show you the nappies :D

Good luck

Cheers guys...left me alot to do.    Has anyone used the NEW Fuzzis? I was really happy with the fuzzis of old but became concerned when they became difficult to find also Milk told me they are no longer selling fuzzis due to they are no longer being made in the US but are now being made in China and there has been a decrease in quality. Or that they now source their fabric from China but are still being made in the US. FORget which way round they told me. If there is anyone who has RELIABLE info regarding this please let me know as this is the only thing making me hesitate buying them again and the fact the I could not find one to have a look at an fit.

You could always grab some of the old styled ones on trademe, they are always on there if you are concerned about trying the new ones. Just a thought.

Posted By: Two Blondinis
Date Posted: 05 June 2008 at 11:30am
that's exactly what I was about to suggest, Stacey

The old style Fuzzis are fantastic (I still have all of Caitlin's old smalls and a couple of mediums).

I also have a "third-hand" old style USA made Fuzzi and it is just as good at keeping her dry at night.

Oh man Mcploppy - not you too being told untruths and half truths about fuzzis being made in China by Milk - this is the fourth instance I have heard of it. I guess it is a helpful marketing ploy.

Anyhow, Fuzzi pockets are made in the USA, the inserts are made in China. Honeychild are made in NZ, the inserts are made in Korea.

Fuzzi pockets are $31 including inserts, HC are $37 including inserts.

There are a few new style fuzzis on TradeMe, and you can see fuzzis at the Mums and Bubs store in ChCh and buy them online at tweedles, snazzipants and mothers Instinct.

i hope that helps!

Edited for spellos everywhere

I went to Mums and Bubs today in Chch and was really disappointed in there service - also the only nappies they showed me were "mummys touch (?).

Maya22 are you from chch? you seem very passionate about MCN"s!

Thanks for clearing that up for me but I do not want to use secondhand nappies...I think I will phone the mums and bubs store to make sure they have them in stock before going in as I really want to inspect them before buying...perhaps if they get a lot of phone calls they might order them in to have them in stock....hint hint for anyone else in chch wanting fuzzis

I wouldn't buy off them purely based on their service! But then I am anal about customer service and don't like spending money at places that don't measure up!

I feel the same way about customer service however if it is the only plae in chch that allows me to physicaly inspect them then I really have no other choice as from what I can gather there are no agents in this area selling fuzzis, they just do HC...So if there is an agent for Fuzzis out there in the chch region I am sure we can gather enough interested parties to have a coffee group at my place to see your wares
Would you be interested Peanut?
By the way when little McPloppy was born we always said he looked like a peanut with eyes...lol...love the name

To be honest I can't see a comparison between the two... there is a lot more about designing a nappy to be original than that, as I am sure many of the WAHMs on this board will tell you.

If you put a peapod next to a fb and give it to someone who knows nothing about cloth nappies, it is unlikely they would confuse the two.

As far as i can tell peapods are aussie designed and have never been sold in the US, I can't see how the market leader and the designers of the first pocket nappy would be interested in copying a low quality low cost product like the peapods..

Oh and I don't know anymore about fuzzis than what is publicly available, I take an interest in companies behaving ethically, which is a subject that comes up on boards like this often.

Out of interest, what size is your baby wearing at 5mths? We used medium Fuzzis when we switched to cloth with our baby at 5mths - he was around 15lbs at the time and I'm interested to know if the new style is different in sizing (in reality that is, I know FB claim they are the same size!).

Really great to hear that. I had no problems when I went in there the other day. Just so you know, mothers instinct is having a sale atm and has fuzzi's for $27.50 (http://www.mothersinstinct.co.nz/cat_saleItems.html) just in case you wanted to start stocking up now !!

Vic, we changed Liam to mediums about a month ago from memory (so he would've been just younger than 5 months old). The mediums are probably slightly too big for him just yet but we've had no major leaks or anything & the smalls were getting a bit too small (particularly in the rise).
