Hey there all,
Really didn't know where to put this but thought here might be the best option as not actually TTC at the mo. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2006 and concieved my DS in 2007 within the first month of trying. Before I had DS my cycles were 28 days and was ovulating every 2nd month. Since having DS my cycles have been 26 -33 days long at the moment am on day 33 with no signs of AF turning up. My acne and weight have got worse since he was born also. Has anyone else found that its good worse after conceiving #1? What are my options from here. My Dr was ok about it but not great esp because we concieved o quickly but would love to get regular cycles and other symptoms under control. TIA  -------------

Worse, everything got worse for me. My endo and PCOS was bad. I am now 17 months after number 2 and I am now just getting into a regular AF now (ranges 25-31 days). My weight is my next thing I am working on - by going to the gym. My gyne has been really good about it all. He gave me until June to get AF sorted (which I just managed to do), and if I hadn't then he was going in to have a look around. I am glad AF managed to sort itself out. Now I have to do the hard work with my weight. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

| ur lucky u get ur periods at all, i dont, ive had 3 natural periods in my lifetime. I have pcos. Im 21. |

I also don't have natural periods Serenna, have only had 2 or 3 in my life and I'm 23 but that's just how things go... PCOS effects everyone differently ------------- Formerly Wishin41 |

But just cos I am getting periods doesn't actually mean that i am ovulating. Use to ovulate every second month and am not even sure I am doing that now -------------

I am the same I am sure I only ovulate from one ovary so every second month. I'm not slim but am working on losing weight at the moment - just started today. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

Hey, I have PCOS too... Slim PCOS... so not the norm (is there a norm?). Hate the bad skin and the hair loss!
Took me over a year to conceive..... Never had a normal period in my whole life, always just thought that was me, until went to Fertility Associates to see why I wasn't getting pregnant. Its a weird feeling, wanting nothing to be wrong, but wanting something to be wrong so you had answer to the 'why not pregnant' question. For all those trying to conceive out there, big hugs. Its a scary and sometimes lonely time, especially when it feels noone understands what its like... and you do get sick of being told "it will happen". But chin up, the specialists are amazing now, and technology is awesome. Hope is something we always have. |

mine got worse after i had jack......put on a little weight and AF was alot heavier and more painful when it returned. my endo pain also returned about 12mths after i had jack.
still, both my kids were conceived pretty much the first night of TTC.......since having charli, i lost 10kgs just by having her, but half of that is back and i can't shift it.....my AF has been painful the past couple of months and i'm not due for 2wks but am having horrible cramps yesterday and today

I have slim pcos and know exactly how u feel when u say not the norm and sick of being told it will happen. I get told give up too coz apparently that works thats why i made the topic 'giving up works?' |

Yeah well funnily enough, I did 3 cycles of clomiphene with no luck, so FA decided to do surgery have a look around and also do ovarian drilling while they were in there. In the mean time I was to continue with clomiphene until my name came up on public waiting list (oh the joys). So I pretty much resigned myself to the fact that nothing would happen until I had the surgery...... and I conceived while I was waiting.
Its all crap though, everyone tells you 'not to think about' or 'not to worry', but hell, when its happening to you its all you think about!!! And 90% of the time the people telling you all that, already have kids and have NO idea how it feels! Haha. Kind of ironic really!!! ------------- Know happiness is with us always, but never always with us. |

Have just started temping again so will see what is happening. My cycles are all over the show so will see if I am actually ovulating.
Am really gutted about it! -------------
