Last Thursday I went over to camp for a job interview (it was for 2 temp postitions) and they went really well, and I was taken over to the schools and met a number of people (something I though was a good thing meaning I may get the job). My referee was rung on Friday and I was told by her that it sounded really good, and I would probably get a job.

This morning I was rung by the Major who I had the interview with and I have been offered both jobs, I now have to choose which one I want. I am swinging more towards one (as it is longer and more change of getting the premanent one), but am just waiting for Nigel to get out of his exam so I can talk it over with him.

I am so happy to be back in fulltime work after almost 3 years!!!!!

Until 2010 at least as that is when the job should move to Linton. I found out that Nigel will be spending a lot of time here next year so makes sense to stay here, having someone else pay our mortgage is good.

Thanks

I have just come back form camp and I have chosen the position at the School of Artiliary. I will sign on the dotted line tomorrow. Nothing is totally in concrete as being the Military you have to be security cleared - but I can't see that being a problem as I have nothing on my record.

Congrats Becks, and like Teresa said, you may feel more settled in Waiouru once you start working there, and after Nigel graduates you'll be an Officer's Wife that's a big deal in the Army.

Yeah fulltime is going to be hard to get used to, but I get benefits!!! We are not made to but are expected to do PT so you can do that during your working day at anytime. I get one day off a month paid (not taken out of annual leave) and I can do what I like (will use it to go to Palmy thou) with it. They have told me I can already have the 27th and 28th off work for Nigel's graduation as camp pretty much stops for those days.

Off to sign the dotted line today and to meet the Master Gunner (who is going to be my boss), and sort out a start date.
