Isla and I will be in Auckland for 2 weeks from 13th Dec (just 8 weeks away OMG!).
We would love to see all the Auck OhBaby Mums/ kids/babies/bumps/bumps to be, again and meet new ones too! Is there anything already organised for then that we can come too, or shall we start something??! |

Emma do u know what day Willies work thing is yet? Need to set a date for this. Right we need ideas please, for venue etc. Here are some ideas- please comment! I was thinking maybe western spings park. (Im so not going near any shopping malls in Auckland that close to Christmas!! ) Everyone has to come dressed christmasy. Bring a $5 kids wrapped kids present and we will con someone into being santa to hand them out. Shared lunch? Or maybe a bbq at a beach? |

I like the whole park/beach picnic/bbq idea.
Somewhere like Orakei Domain or Mission Bay? missin bay is often busy, is you wanted somewhere not so busy the likes of Kawakawa bay is lovely. there is a playground, sheltered beach, no bbq's tho. but fish n chip shop not far away. only bout 30 mins from central auckland too. not much further than mission bay from central anyways. -------------

cornwall park is another good place. a few of us had a meet up there last summer (or was it the year before). heaps of space, bbqs, tables.

It does! Western Springs is usually way busier than Mission Bay .. however Tamaki Drive can get pretty busy on a summers day. Im probably biased .. Im not a great fan of the playground at Western Springs everytime Ive gone there is overrun with people and the birds and excrement usually put me off eating there lol But we shall go where ever ------------- Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months) I did it .. 41 kgs gone! i personally find western springs playground cold too, great coz lots of shade, but i find it's cold in there amongst the trees. i would be way keener for cornwall park than western springs personally.
Yes Kawakawa bay is great. we like it coz it is sheltered. generally. Also there is heaps of grass to park & sit on. -------------

There is a really good area off Campbell road, it's the Grande Drive entrance. They've got a couple of bbq's and pergola things... it's kind of dead end and theres lots of area for the kids to run around ------------- Mr Mellow (16) Miss Attitude (8) Destructa Kid (3)

Well, 13th I'm in for if it's then after-all, but will be sleeeeepy (and waddling and possibly complaining about the heat), so don't plan nothing around me, ladies. Emma, Kelly, Nat... Mr. Joel will be serenading us at 8pm, by the way.
