ok so im abit lost on what to do :(
jett had no allergys at all untill he had a massive reaction to the preservative they changed in the heinz gold 2 formula in june and ended up in hospital.
since then he developed a wholemilk protien allergy
and the toddler drinks/normal milk/ yoghurt/ custard anything with whole milk pretty much makes him so grumpy and tears the skin off his poor bum so its red raw , weeping and bleeding and the hospital has to dress it with burn dressings its that bad.
so he drinks water no probs,
but . .
the only thing that fills him up for bed it his bottle hes still on heinz nurture 2 as its the ONLY formula he hasnt reacted to as aparently the nutritionist i spoke to said the protien levels are lower in it than others.
so how am i ever going to cut out the formula?
he is a huge eater
but if he doesnt havehis bottle b4 bed he wakes up about 3-4 times
but with it he sleeps thru.
we tried soy milk etc but . . .
due to my severe hypermesesis m/s with sarah the tinyist smell of soy milk or soy formula anything soy even near me or on jett makes me hurl

Oh poor Jett.
You could try rice milk but it might actually work out more expensive than the formula he is having. Also rice milk and soy milk aren't full off as much goodness as normal milk so nutritionally he may be better on the formula as well. Spencer still has two formula feeds a day, morning and before bed (although before bed he sometimes refuses or only drinks 50 mls). He is on the specialist formula because of being allergic to dairy. His paed has just put him onto the toddler one and he wants him on it for at least another 6 months and then possibly longer.
Perhaps you could ask your gp for a referal to a paed and get him the proper allergy formula, it works out fairly cheap with the subsidy as well, cheaper than normal formula I think. (is hard to tell as the tins are a different size).
You can also buy soy yoghurt and soy cream cheese, I haven't noticed a strong soy smell with these so your stomach might cope with them.

So am I right that you've found one formula that he is OK with? If that's the case, then I'd say keep him on it for however long he needs the stuff! Due to being completely dairy-free Ella is still on her formula at 2 yrs old - she has a bottle before bed (which yes, I'd much prefer to be a sippy cup with dinner, but we fought that battle and lost so far), and has a big serving of it as the 'milk' with her weetbix each morning. Formula's enriched with all sorts of goodness and is pretty well-balanced. There is rice milk but it's low in calories. If he weren't able to have any off-the-shelf formula's, I'd say see a Paed about it and ask for a prescription one, but being able to use a 'normal' one is far more convenient if you can do it. You could always add extra protein to his diet if you're worried about that and if he'll eat it. Good luck!

...and sorry, I don't know much about what brands are for what... but is Heinz Nurture 2 for under 1s? If it is, just don't worry about that - it'd be a problem to feed a baby a toddler-formula, but isn't a big deal the other way around - won't do him any harm.
