Hi all,
My names is Lisa I'm a 23 year old Mum to 7 month old twin girls Hazel & Esme. Just looking for other Mums to start a coffee group or perhaps find an exsisting one that I can add some chaos to :) I'm in the Woolston area. Hope to hear from all you desperate housewives out there! -------------

we have one every 2nd tuesday with four of us and we alternate houses...

I'd be more than happy to host a day at my house if that suits? I live in Woolston not sure where that is in relation to everyone else though. I can work around you guys the only time I have things on is thursdays. When are you guys due to meet up next?

Oh I'd have to warn you though theres not a massive amount of seating at my house but I'm more than happy to sit on the floor lol :)
So as an after thought for a nice spot to meet up. How about the botanical gardens? If your group is keen and we get some nice weather we could all bring a plate and a baby and chill in the sunshine? -------------

we are next due on tue the 16th ....not sure if they would rather we met somewhere else first? we used to meet out then just got to know each other then chose houses:) but should be fine... one of us is 36 weeks preg... there are 2 17 month old 1 nine month and 1 ten month
:) i talk in jan/feb mums and one of us has 10 month old twins..it sounds exhausting!:) we live richmond, papanui, kaiapoi and barrington..lol.. ------------- Mum to two amazing boys! |

i just read the rest of your post... I've directed one of them here the other two arent online well one is but not much since her bub..
I personally find houses easier cause then they can all go nuts and all of our babies have allergy issues (which is really weird!!) :) as you say though the botanical gardens sounds nice! we are up to the kaiapoi meetup...then papanui.. ------------- Mum to two amazing boys! |

Sounds fantastic! Kaiapoi is fine by me I can make the mission :) Would love to meet up.
The girls are very easy going babies. What time do you normally meet up? The only pain for me with twins is feeding times can be akward but if you meet during one of their feed times I can try to feed them early that day or something to that effect. Thanks guys -------------

no problem i just didnt want to say it was ok cause it wasnt my house and theres been a few people who arent who they say they are which is scary (dont worry I dont think you are one of those!)

hey guys, wow lots of chatting here. I have a plunket group at my house on the 16th so will have to skip the group thats on then. But I would love to meet you all! maybe next time you guys meet up? that would be cool if you could let me know sometime.
I remember that chic who was on here pretending to be preggers, that was awful! I think my husband thinks I'm a bit mad being on here but so far its been fantastic for the support. -------------

I love watching older tots with babies they're always fascinating to watch. Kids can be so sweet with little bubs :) My niece is 20months and looooves the girls she can't get over the fact that theres 2 of them! -------------

Vanessa if Lisha comes they wouldn't be that much older. I don't mind, my lounge isn't huge but we should all fit. I would say we could have it in the garden but there's lots of dog poos out there that I can't bend over to pick up at the moment -------------

Haha Please don't go into labour on Tuesday!!! I had a c-section so I wouldn't have a clue what to do! I could fetch towels and boiling water but unless we're on the set of Dr Quinn Medicine woman I don't think that will help :)
Big congrats though! Do you know what your having? (sorry I know how sick of that question I got lol) I'm terminally nosey :) -------------

Yea it's been fantastic! I've lost 7kg in 5 weeks :) The food is much better than I originally thought it would be. We would normally spend around $200 a week on groceries anyway and my JC food is about $100 or just over a week so it pretty much works out for us money wise. The main cost for me was the membership fee. I try to get out and do my 2 hour walk at least 4 times a week so that helps as well. Its great though I'm just starting to fit into my pre baby wardrobe so I'm starting to feel like my old self. Just sux how much the girls stretched my tummy I forever gonna have this massive pouch of stretched skin lol! Oh well small price to pay I spose. -------------

No you don't need to pick the poos up. And yep he uses the catcher....lol.
I let Spencer play on the front lawn more where the dogs don't go, but as the front isn't fenced its not really safe for the bigger kids that can move a lot faster. You don't need to bring anything, normally whoever house it's at provides the tea, coffee and munchies and then it all evens out. -------------

it happened when we went to temuka..the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong but it was only happening after an hour it happened straight away was so scary on the bridge!!!

I'm really really sorry guys I'm gonna have to cancel. Spencer has developed a really bad rash over all his body and I have no idea what it is but as we aren't vaccinated it is quite possible that it could be rubella or measles so probably best you don't come round.
It's only just come up so couldn't get in to see doc until tomorrow. It may just be some other kind of viral rash but it looks pretty angry compared to anything else he has had. Of course he may have just ate some cheese why we weren't looking and had a bad allergic reaction but I would feel pretty bad if we did expose you guys to something. Perhaps if the doc gives the all clear we could do it on Thursday instead? I'm free all day so could do am or pm. -------------

I have wondered if theres a multi group in CHCH I know Auckland has loads of groups and things for families with multiples but there seems to be less here in CHCH.
I imagine thats gotta be one hected group lol! I have to admit I was told about the multiple birth club but was slack in joining due to the fee involved although its only $25 so thats a sad excuse
Would be interested in finding out more though. I guess its always nice talking to people in the same boat as you are. -------------
