I am wondering if there is still a coffee group going? I did notice there hadn't been any posts in the thread since October.
Anyway......I already have children who are all school age, and am 25 weeks pregnant. I don't know too many people and would like to get out and socalise a bit more.
If the coffee group is still going, is it ok to come along but not have a child to bring yet lol
If not..is anyone interested in a regular coffee group (pregnant, childless - anything goes)...just to get out and meet new people and get out of the house lol....
I'm not too sure if people will see this....when I come online I just click "Active Topics"....so if you know a Hamiltonion who'd be interested, direct her to this thread

Hi Jessica, I have sent you an email :)
Hi Jasmine. I'm pretty flexible with days and times. I work and study from home so am easily about to fit things around that.
How did the previous group work? I remember reading the thread early last year I think, and from that I gathered you met about once a month at others members homes? I'm ok with that, but would like to make it a little bit closer than once a month :)

Hi!
I'd love to join up with all of you. Been in Hamilton since April, but not had much of a chance to meet new people. I'm 18 weeks pregnant right now, but am on bed rest after having to get a stitch put in & am not allowed to drive. Where abouts in Hamilton are you meeting? Is anyone in the Rototuna area that I might be able to hitch a lift with?!

Can anyone else pick BlondeLady up on their way (Rototuna)?

I'm in Huntly but it's boring here so would be nice to meet people. I could probably come so long as I'm not working on the day that is chosen.
It's a shame the first group fizzled but it's good to see that there are even more Waikato mums now!

Hi there,
Sorry for the silence, I've been enjoying the hospitality of Waikato Health's finest at the hospital the past few days! We had our 20 week scan on Monday & because I've had problems before & now have a stitch the radiologist hit a bit of a panic at what she saw & sent us off to hospital for a double check... after waiting 12 hours to see a doctor they decided to admit me for a few days of observation, antibiotics & another scan. It looks like it was all a bit of a storm in a tea cup as although everything is not 'normal' it's situation unchanged since the last scan. So, back home & still on bed rest... Booo!
The good news is bub is doing great & we're having to do a bit of a mind shift since I was 200% sure this was a boy, but according to the scan there appear to be no 'boy bits'(!), so I'm going to have to learn to like pink!!
However, problems aside, I would love to meet you all, so if you would all like to come round here next Wed that would be great! Is everyone still keen on a morning meet up? I think I remember someone who was working night shift so could only do afternoon? Any consensus?

Hi Regina,
Congratulation on your little girl! That is very exciting news. Sounds like you have had a few scary days there though. Are you sure you are up to having everyone around?
If not we can have it at my place. Everyone would just have to be prepared to ignore a few details though, things are a bit 'work in progress' round here and its just a little place. we are in the process of reuphostering the couch etc but we have plenty of toys and books for the kiddies. Only thing is that I can only do mornings.

Hi Saffron,
As long as everyone doesn't mind mucking in with tea & coffee making, I don't mind! Besides, it'll give me an excuse to get hubby clean up his junk!! I'm in Rototuna tho, so let me know if that's going to be too far out for most people!

HI ladies,
Just a quick note to say hi. I'm out of hospital now, but bub is not... She decided last week to kick her way through membranes, cervix & stitch at a very small 25 weeks. She is in newborn icu & so far is doing well, but we have been warned this is going to be an emotional & stressful rollercoaster ride. I'm back & forth to the hospital & on a 3 hourly expressing routine, so not online much but will keep in touch.
Take care

Hi again ladies!
Life right now seems to be a continuous cycle of hospital visits & the expressing machine! Gabrielle Safiya Marais is doing really well & will be 6 weeks (31/40) on Tuesday. She is still small but is growing & putting on weight. She already makes it clear what she does & doesn't like & makes us laugh quite a lot - dad changing nappies is a bit of a giggle!
How are all of you doing?? There seems to be a bit of a lull in chat & activity here! How about another get together?? Anyone keen for next week? Is Wednesday still a good day for everyone? If anyone is keen how about suggestions for a day & time & I'd be happy to have everyone around at my place! It would be great to see you all & I could use some company & distraction!
Look forward to hearing from you all!

Oh I was wondering how you were getting on Regina! Great to hear your little one is doing well.
I haven't been to a meetup in ages, so would love to come along to one.
I don't drive so would either have to bus or catch a ride with someone. I live in Claudelands by the Boundary Rd Bridge.

I'm so pleased to hear from you Regina. I've updated the July girls as they were asking after you the other day. If you pm me your address, I will try to make a meet-up. Like Renee I don't drive either, but am familiar with bus timetables
Renee, I was also thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were getting on - and hoping that you were MS free, and maybe about trying to get our lads together again at some stage, before our next little ones arrive

That would be great! I can't believe you are 30 weeks already!
I am child free at the moment, Sam has been with his dad since Saturday and is coming back Wednesday so am having a lovely break, although I miss him like crazy!
I wish the weather was a bit nicer, we could go to the claudelands park.
I'm sort of ms free. I am really nauseas in the morning but thankfully not a lot of spewing and it goes away after I eat and rest for an hour or so.
I'm happy to bus wherever as well.

Hi Everyone,
That sounds like fun and we'd love to come but Dominic has croup and cause it's a virus it's infectious . So we are quarantined for a little while until he gets well
Hope you all have a great time though.
Great to hear your daughter is doing so well Regina.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone - and apologies again for not being in touch more. Bub is growing well but a little unsettled today, hopefully nothing major.
I'm good for either morning or afternoon, or we could do a later morning with a light lunch? How are you all fixed for time/s?
I am not a driver either, so the bus is my friend!! The number 16 to Rototuna (it stops at Chartwell at the back of the centre heading north) is the closest to us & you'd get off on the Alconbury Drive stop & we're about 3 mins walk from there.
Let me know what times work for you - I'm working on Wednesday being best for everyone, but I'm able to do any day if that doesn't work for someone.

Thanks SarahBetha, he is much better now but it was very scary when it happened, we had a midnight rush to the A&E and they had to give him a whopping great dose of steriods so he could breathe. Apparently the smaller the baby the more dangerous it can be so we are stearing clear of everyone at the moment. Of course this means staying home and he is driving me insane! A cooped up 2 year old is just no fun!

Saffron: Last time we met up at mine you mentioned you had a friend that made the sling you were using. Does she just make them for herself & friends or does she make for others or to order? Thanks!

I'm another who has to bail sorry. Blair threw up a couple of times last night and was pretty miserable and didn't sleep the best, and I'm not sure if it's something he ate, or something he's picked up, but would rather he not pass it onto anyone.
Hopefully I will make it to a meet up before this little one arrives
