Has anyone got any fun ideas for keeping toddlers amused? I don't know if there's another topic about this but I couldn't find one.
We have playdough (dif colours w glitter) with cookie cutters and some cool kitchen utensils picked up from the sally army,
a big plastic box filled with plain rice, dyed rice and glitter (kinda like an indoor sandpit),
homemade skittles,
a blackboard w giant chalk,
a drumkit,
a hut (made out of boxes and an indoor washing thing),
an art table with finger paints (got recipe from here) and crayons,
books of course,
a car mat with a box of different vehicles,
styrofoam blocks with a mini hammer and large nails (I've got a boy who loves that kinda stuff!).
We get bigger toys from the toy library when they're available.
Has anybody else got any ideas? With the weather beginning to pack in I want to start enlarging our supply!

I love the idea of the nails and styrofoam!!
We quite often fill the sink up with bubbles and Coop "does the dishes" for me with the measuring cups, sieve etc
Of fill the baby bath up and do similar in a wet area.
Coop also loves his tea set. It's more "manly" than your average cups and saucers, it has little fry pans, chopping board and plasitc meat cleaver!! (Not sure that its the ideal toy!) But he will often sit for at least 1/2 an hour playing and pretending to eat etc

Lol aww thats so cute! Good idea using the baby bath for water play I've been stuck on how to organise something like that for him coz we're renovating and the bench isn't always the safest place for him.
We had a little tea set with plastic food too but I don't know where it is I'll have to go dig it out- thanks for jogging my memory!!
Actually he loved playing with the kitchen set at playcentre so I'd been tossing round actually making him a little oven and bench with packing boxes and paint. Might havta give abit more serious thought!
Yeah Jake loves the styrofoam blocks and nails. It keeps him amused for ages. The rice box is also a huge favourite. He has jugs and cups and measuring spoons with it and spends ages playing, scooping, filling and pouring.
