Will definately hold spots open for you girls in the TWW. Good luck with the testing.
Well, I had the worst sleep last night. Woke up about 4am and felt TERRIBLE. I had to do some controlled breathing until it eventually passed. Did my 5th HPT this morning and the test line is now as dark as the control line, DF is over the moon. I am definately becoming a POAS addict . It's just so exciting seeing that line

Hey Hope2be :)
I know what you mean, I had the worst night on Monday, I had nausea all night and it got so bad that at 3.30am I made myself throw up so I could get some sleep. (it worked).
I had yesterday off work with nausea and exhaustion, but last night was the best sleep ever!
I bought some of those sea bands for the nausea and they seem to have worked, I feel amazing at the moment.
I have a midwife appointment on Friday, and one next week to decide on who we want to go with, but I'm leaning towards the one that supports epidurals at the moment :( As much as I want a natural birth when I'm feeling like crap it's the last thing I want, so I'll make sure I have the option if I feel bad towards the end as well.
We've only told my mum so far, we're telling DP's parents when they come down in June which will be about 9 weeks... so I'm tempted to ask for an 8 week scan so we know it's all good before we tell them, can you ask for a scan for any reason?
-------------

I'm new to all this. I have no idea.
We are booked in to see the doctor on Friday and I'll ask him if he can give me "the works" to check any and everything. I'm thinking of waiting to tell my Mum & step-dad until Mothers day and I'll tell Dad on the way home from Mums. We are going to leave telling DF parents until as late as is possible. His Mum is a total stress monkey. When we told her we were trying she went all weird - I just can't deal with her crap at the moment.
Will start looking into midwives after I've seen the doctor I think. I guess the bounty packs I've heard about have all the info about what to do/organise and when??

It is very quiet in here.
DF and I are going on a bus trip down to the rugby tomorrow for his work. I don't know how I am going to last the 3ish hours without needing a toilet break. At the moment I'm peeing every hour or so - it's crazy!
-------------
|

I know, we need more people!
I'm up about 3 times every night needing to use the toilet, and it's not a normal 'needing to go' feeling it hurts enough to wake me up.
i also had a blod blister on the inside of my cheek last night, apparently it's caused by the blood vessels expanding and bursting - al the niceties of pregnancy *sigh*
I'm so excited though :) I had a big talk to mum today about her pregnancys, and how long the labours were, etc.. so now I feel a bit more prepared.

Hi Bex! Congrats!!
I had constipation from about the time of conception, which has been really sucky, but this week I managed to catch a bug from my niece, which has emptied me out.
I thought it was morning sickness but it's stopped now so it must have been a bug. And mum said it was a bit early for morning sickness. (tmi sorry!)
Also had sore breasts, and some metallic tastes, and the other night I had a blood blister in my cheek. (apparently related to pregnancy).
I was supposed to meet a midwife this morning but she's had to reschedule.
-------------

Lizzie that doesn't sound like much fun. Hopefully things will get to back to normal now.
Unfortunately from my previous experience, morning sickness can start pretty early on. With DS it was within a couple of days of finding out I was Pg (about 5 weeks), I am praying that it will stay away for longer this time, with a little one running around I can't think of much worse than being stuck by the loo all day. Hopefully it stays away for you too.
I was thinking this time about when to get in touch with my Midwife seeing as it's still holiday time for some of them. Might have to get onto it soon.
You will get used to your midwife rescheduling, shes probably off delivering a baby somewhere.
Feel free to ask me any questions, not that I proclaim to be an expert but I may be able to help.

I haven't really had any symptoms as such yet, other than a little queaziness in the afternoons and are non-stop needing to pee. Went and saw the doctor today who gave me folic acid to go with the Elevit I've been taking - he was very excited for us. Will have to get onto a midwife ASAP I guess now. He's given me a recommendation so thats great.

I think I'll be hitting the hay soon, Because I have netball tomorrow (silly that just forked out $165 for season and will probably only play maybe 8weeks) and it's grading so 2 games.
I am thinking my symptoms may be beginning to appear, been feeling a bit dizzy and have to keep snacking. Also slightly queasy feeling all afternoon.
Hope everything is well with my Jan 10 Buddies????

Hi everyone
I am joining this thread I think I am due about 4th Jan, but will probably need a dating scan to be sure. I had a few funny things going on with af before getting bfp this week. At this stage I think I will be the oldest one here at 31
Although in saying that, you are only as old as you feel
Bex88, I also play netball and have just paid my subs ($100). I played the whole season when I was pregnant with my son who is 14 months. When he was 5 weeks we started training again for the next season :o) I plan to play as long as possible this season too.
I don't have any symptoms yet...apart from missed af. Hopefully they stay away cos we are going overseas at the end of this month...

Heads up ladies, my MS kicked in bang on 6 weeks like someone flicked a switch and i am taking a travel sickness ginger tab and its helping sooooooo much. Ive now got blackmores to try also so am switching to them tomorrow, but definetly recommend as i can function again with only occassional light nausea as opposed to the heavy dry reaching nausea i was getting constantly. And ginger beer helps too

Fliss #1 EDD 1st January, 25, Chch
Liz #1 EDD 3rd January, 26, Chch
JD #3 EDD 4th January,31
Bex #2 EDD 7th January, 21, Te Awamutu
Just updated for you JD. I have to say with DS one + HPT was enough for me. This time I have done 2 so far, still got one more but almost bought more in supermarket today.hmmmm.
I am really tired, and think it will be bed time for me very soon. Man I was so exhausted when I got home from netball. And while I was playing I didn't find it hard at all..... Maybe it has something to do with DS being sick at the moment. I have drunk 2 800mL bottles in the last hour I now I need to pee for the 3rd time in the last 15min. Bad idea just before bed I think, but still feel thirsty.
Hope everyone is having a great night.

I'll be beating both of you at 35 soon to be 36, got 1 more week to go to find out. and reading some of the other ladies symptoms are freaking me out a little - at the moment I'm still in the waiting TTC thread in denial. |
YOu will be testing the same time as me and ellecheza. I said in another thread it would be cool if we were preggy together as we were brides to be together.
I noticed you are still in the waiting to TTC thread
Oh and sorry Jan ladies, hope I am not hijacking your thread, I just really feel I should hang out in here as I have a good feeling about my BFP this month. At least it would explain this disgusting metallic taste I have had in my mouth for the last 3 days

The metalic taste does sound like a promising sign.
Good luck to those of you hoping for Jan babies, and congrats to those newly pregnant!

Yeah, us 08 brides have known each other for a while now aye?
It is weird having these people that we have been chatting to for years, know so much about and have never met.

We should arrange a meet up at some stage, cause as you said there are people on here I've "known" for a few years. Given we've been chatting about weddings and babies both pretty life changing events be good to put faces to names.

Well we told the parents last night, still yet to tell Dad though. My Mum and Step-Dad were over the moon, its great to know they are fully supporting us and just as excited as we are. It's not like I didn't expect them to support us but nice to know it anyway.
DF parents were ok. His mother is really angsty most of the time, she began freaking out when we told her we were TTC so didn't expect it to go well when we did tell them of our BFP. But, it actually went a lot better than expected - no congrats from them, but she didn't freak like we both expected she would. TBH I think she is a bit in denial.
After talking to my Mum she tells me twins run in her side of the family (unfortunately most of her family past away before I was born so I didn't know any of this before now). DF is now a bit worried it could be twins for us

Hi girls! Thought I'd add my name to the list. Congrats to you all!!!!! It's a bit of a shock for me, and think it will take a while for me to get my head around it. Four kids. Eeek.
I'm Anouska, 29 yrs old, married to Riki for 9 years (10 in September) and we have 3 children, Rico is 5, Gia is 3, and Jett is 20 months. Dh most definitely wanted another child, I was more hesitate, even though I've been clucky, the idea of me being pg again (I have horrible MS) was enough to put me off having anymore. I was thinking ahead to what hobbies I could take up with having more time now that Jett's not so much a baby anymore. Well looks like my hobbies will have to wait a few more years huh!
We'll be keeping this news quiet from our friends and family a little while, I need to get my head around it first, and get prepared for the "what?, another baby??" from everyone.

lol Amber, yep it's a bit scary how easily it happens. It was just a one time whoopsie with Jett as well. I shouldn't have really been surprised when the 2nd line came up today. But I think it's more about getting used to the idea of having a 4th child! I can see some people are going to be very surprised when we tell them, yet others probably not so.
