I am worried that I have 'over done it' a wee bit this last week. I keep forgetting that that I am suppose to be taking it easy and now I am paranoid that I have permanently damaged myself.

I suppose I might be worrying for nothing so asking for others experience of healing after a c/s.

Right now I can feel like hard lumps under were they cut me ... is this scar tissue?? I have no idea and I don't even really know how to phrase this.

I had a c section nearly 2 years ago now and I still have lumps under my cut, I assumed it was scar tissue!

By 6 weeks I was back into my daily walking! Just go with the flow and your body will let you know if you are over doing it. If you feel like resting then definately rest!

the lumps are normal. Especially at the edges. They are quite prominent there. I was concerned about mine and how sore it felt there until my MW explained that they cut through about 6 layers and have to stitch them all up so they dont lie perfectly flat afterwards. Also the ends are the parts that get stretched so they are quite swollen afterwards.

8 months on and I can still feel lumps.

Yup, I knew when I had overdone it, I would get out of bed that night to feed and would get like a really strong ouchy pulling sensation from my scar right through to my back.

Still happens now if I do too much!

I just thought I would stop by and say that things have settled down heaps in the scar department. The hard lumps I felt before have gone down. It still get pulling, especially if I have gone for a walk or been rather active but it's definitely on the mend.
