for some reason my scar has started hurting again, it feels bruised again like it did about 3 weeks ago, its not really painful it just feels tender and bruised and above the scar feels a bit swollen.
Started getting like this yesterday afternoon. I didnt do a lot yesteday, just went to tot n tunes and then did some shopping. I was wearing tights and my maternity jeans and i think they both may have been sitting on the scar and digging in, thats all I can think of..or maybe it was when i was putting the pram in the car(double MB).
It wasnt sore when i did the grocery shopping, but after the 10 min drive home, it was sore,

Anyone else had this?? My scar was all good before yesterday! I had pretty much no discomfort, only when something presses on the scar.

you might find that you did over do it without realising it...and its just your bodies way of saying ...hey im still tender....remember it can take up to 3mths for the scar to knit properly....and second csections take a bit longer to heal as well.

Thanks Kaz

yeah I probably over did it at some point, so I shall take it easy from now on, even though thats hard to do with a 15 month old and a newborn to run after lol

Its a bit better today, so thats good.

that happend to me about 5 weeks turns out I had an infected internal stitch, was put on a round of antibiotics and it went away fine keep an eye on it as mine started with being a bit swolen then went red and hot and swelled (sp) more, so i went to the doc. as Kazzle said tho you might just of over done it.

Hmm, it is a bit red/pink actually, but its not majorly sore, and its not swollen now, just the normal bulge above the scar thats ive always had.
Not sure if the redness is where Ive been sitting though.

The kids have their shots tomorrow and Bella has her 6 week check so I'll get the dr to have a look for me.

I remember getting days like that. I just put it down to healing...ie later stages of healing. I didnt think too much of it. In fact 8 months on it still gets sore and bruised sometimes....especially wearing jeans! I think its because there is no flexibility in them...not that they are tight...they just dont fold over IYKWIM

Yep i know what you mean, I used to get the same with my scar from Caden.

I got the dr to have a look, and its fine, he said its basicly the 2 big muscles still trying to heal.
