I'm only half way and every week I get freaked out by my choice of having a VBAC, my biggest no.1 fear is going through labour again the ending with an emergency c-section and being stuck in hospital for the most awful 5 days. My dream would be to have a straightforward VBAC and go home ASAP afterwards.
So I was just wondering, the people that had successful VBACs (or VBA2C) what did you do differently that letyou have a successful VBAC?

Thanks

Mindset was a HUGE thing. I used a lot of natural remedies (5W, EPO, raspberry leaf tablets, pre birth spray) from about 35 weeks onwards. Accupuncture. A GREAT midwife who was 100% supportive. And I stayed away from the hospital & had a homebirth too LOL, not that I am saying you should have a homebirth but definitely stay at home as long as you can handle to stay at home as it is much easier to relax in a familiar place and relaxing = less pain & easier/quicker dilation

I had a scare a couple of weeks before hand so unfortunately I had to go straight up to the hospital and be monitored the whole labour.

In saying that I was fully dilated in 7 hours.

I was deteremined from day 1 to have a VBAC and my MW so so totally there for me on that, to the point that she told whoever came into the room when I was in labour that I was having a VBAC and not to discuss anything else (more to keep it out of my head I think!!) In the end the only way he was coming out was either forceps or CS so I chose forceps, and he only needed a tiny gentle prod to help him out.

I was pretty slack and didn't get around to trying any other things, but was told by my MW not to take the 5W etc, the only thing I had was pre birth spray.
