I went to buy some rice milk for the first time, to try in baking and cooking for Campbell, and I saw oat milk there too, I never knew this existed! Has anyone tried it, and what is it like compared to rice milk, taste wise? Does it have any advantages or disadvantages over rice milk?

I do know that it is thicker & more like normal milk consistency.
I will ask the Mum at school that uses it, I can't remember everything she said about it.

The reason the Mum at school changed was that rice milk gave her DD hives. She hasn't tried to cook with oakmilk but she said the taste would be dependant on your tastes as to which one you chose to use.

Im pretty sure its a bit sweeter.
Just a tip- when buying soymilk or whatever in a carton.... check the ingredients.... often they add cane sugar.
Worth knowing with the little ones in mind.

We use vitasoy (it's a rice milk one though), it has chick peas in it which is where the protein comes from, they also have a calcium enriched one, but if you little one is BF or on formula you wouldn't need to worry about calcium.
I don't know if the vitasoy one has cane sugar though, will have to check that out.

The Vitasoy one doesn't :) That's the one we use too. It's both calcium & protein enriched. 250ml has 37% rdi of calcium
