So.... Just pencilling me in for August 2nd... A faint bfp this morning... Although after 2 c-sections I am pretty sure I would be having bubs late July... might wait and see how things pan out for now... kind of nervous cos DP and I lost 2 babies before concieving Jae and theoretically shouldnt have been able to get preg now! (DP has 'issues' that meant we were about to go on the IVF waiting list when we got a wee surprise in the form of Jaelyn) Only had one af since having Jae and DP reckons 'ones enough' (DS is from prior marriage) looks like someone may have had other ideas Havent told him yet (like the forum addict I have become, I posted the bfp pic to get other OBers opinions before starting to think 'ok... so maybe I am!') and going to wait until I get a very clear undeniable bfp before spilling the beans! Wonder if I could hold out til xmas and surprise him then??

EDD 1 (??) - Anakk: Finding out? Yep!
EDD 6th - Trying41st: Finding out?
Congratulations Tryingfor1st and Babykatnz!
I can't remember what day AF started (you'd think I'd have marked it down last month, since we started TTC!) ... but I think I'm due around the beginning of August
BFP on Sunday - took it after a few weeks of weird cramping .... and now I definitely know I'm pregnant, I have started randomly waking in the night (when I'm normally such a deep sleeper) and today I burst into tears four times ... thankfully no MS really yet.

Oops, missed her last post, that 's what happens when I post late at night
There must be more joining us soon though!
I am usually really impatient too - but this time I think I 'knew' I was pregnant, and the test just confirmed it. Although it was still a shock - it was planned and last time we conceived quickly too, but funny how it still comes as such a surprise. A mostly pleasant surprise but this time there's definitely a feeling of 'I cannot believe I am going to put myself through all that all over again'

It sure is a crazy ride! Such an amazing life change.
I think there's benefits and disadvantages to having 'done it before' ... it's good to know what to expect (and I think that this time I'll be much more assertive if I know something's not right) but sometimes ignorance is bliss ... last time I had a good pregnancy (apart from carpal tunnel), an awful (I would use the word 'traumatic') birth experience, and a terribly refluxy baby. But I am sure that this time it will all go perfectly! (power of positive thinking!)
Last time DH wanted to find out and I wasn't so sure - but we did, and I was pleased we did. This time DH doesn't really want to find out, but I do, so as long as baby is agreeable we will ... it would be nice to have a boy, so DH can do 'boy stuff' with him, but we have tons of pink stuff that barely got touched , and I'm pretty sure it'll be a girl since I'm 95% sure we conceived right after AF.

Thanks for the congrats Lurkers Sheza i hardly stalked you at all just ever hourish hahahaha.
I am so friggen tired and have so many twinges happening in my tummy its not funny. I havent been sleeping well either the last week. Gunna buy another couple of tests tonight cos im a bit the same TF1 keep expecting AF. Bit scared as well with Josh i was sick almost the whole time and his arrival wasnt pleasant.
Ill ring midwife on monday if i get a strong + on a test tomorrow morning using FMU as my last test wasnt very strong and was mid arvo. Id get onto a MW pretty soon depending on where you live as when i was in CHC last time i waited till i was about 5 or 6 wks and was told most were full so got mine through a family reference. I know mine down here will take me on again but want to get in early as i have no idea when i ov'd so an earlyish scan might be needed.
Internet is playing up at our place so i will only be online when at my parents until i can sort it.

good plan WRX, i will call a few on Monday too...im getting a lot of twinges and cramps down below but AF hasn't shown today and i am way tired today so taking all as a good sign
how do you go about organising early scans?
FX'd ur MS is more manageable this time around I would love some MS just make it more real for me (lol, i know i know i will probably regret those words)

Yep im off to the drs on Monday and if I get a good strong line, I'll ring the same mw I had with Leah, she was so nice and all her back ups are good to.
Yep heaps of twinges lots yesterday not so many today. But I went and had an hr & half sleep this afternoon, but i think that was mostly from waking at 5am!!! Then Leah getting up at 6am.
Wrx hopefuuly ur ms isnt to bad this time round
You mostly only get a scan if you not sure on dates (which you could tell a little white lie) or if theres bleeding usually but you never know until you ask your dr or mw.
It stil hasnt really sank in yet that im having ANOTHER baby!!! LOL Its been 7months in the making so yay its finally happened.

Josh was 5 months in the making and this one was first pop so to speak.
MW or Doc will give you scan forms and or blood test forms depending on which you see. I had an early scan last time because of bleeding (a small amount) and this time last proper af was 6 weeks ago but i had some light bleeding 5 weeks ago so because im only just getting lines on test i am thinking its more likely the light bleeding i should count from otherwise ill be due 24 July. Josh was 2 weeks early tho. Was leah early or late?
It still hasnt sunk in im having another one yet either man how am i going to handle 2!

Leah only took 2months, and she was a week late but she has a heart cond so was in neonatel for 2weeks before we were allowed home. Theres also a chance this bubba will have it too
Im alright about the whole "2" kids thing prob coz I want 4 LOL
So are you going to get a early scan wrx?? Since your not sure on dates.

Awe no thats no good about the heart probs.
Midwife prolly will send me for a scan because Josh was born very quickly feet first and she said that next time round she would probably scan me at 39 wks for position and break my waters at the hospital. I hope she can meet with me soon so i can talk it all over with her and set my mind at ease with a birth plan cos im freaked that i wont get to hospital in time and that there will be complications again.
Hope im not scaring the first timers My situation was very rare for a 1st time birth as the nurses kept telling me.
Well brought more tests so will test again in the morning

Well pretty fast but trying to organise Josh and and if DP is at work 20 min out of town stresses me (last time he was at the other end of the island and missed it). With Josh there was no sign until my waters broke about 11pm ish then it was full on got to hospital at midnight and had active labour of an hour and an hour of being told not to push so 3 hours all up and they say second time can be faster
How long was yours?
What brand test did ya's use? I had quick sticks for my + on friday and used clear blue this morning and got another even fainter line so im hoping clear blue is just not very sensitive. The ovulation stick i have been wasting since someone said they pick up HCG are getting darker (way darker than the control now) each day so ill take that as a good sign.
-------------
|
Posted By: Leahsmummy
Date Posted: 29 November 2009 at 11:07am
Wow that is a very quick labour!!!! Mine was Friday 4.30am I got my show and pretty much started then, finally went to the hospital at 9.30am Saturday morning and had Leah at 3.12pm Saturday night via a emerg csection, the csection was not because of me i was already at 8cm but Leahs heart drop really really low i think 40-50bpm so was rush to the OR.
I used a quickcard on Wednesday and BFN the on Friday I got a faint second line then on Saturday it was a bet darker. And i have run out so no more for me until I see the dr (hopefully) on Monday.

Okay okay here I am!!! Just told DH he thinks it must be some form of miracle. The first thing he said was "you can't be pregnant, you've got to be doing it to get pregnant" LOL. He too can't believe that his swimmers were healthy enough to survive 5 days.
Still we've had 3 MC in the past so will wait a bit before we get too excited.
Anyway due date must be about 8 August I think. Don't know about finding out yet. We have two boys - one we found out the second we weren't going to - but he showed us anyway.
Anyway, here's hoping pregnancy #6 will be a good one!!!

Good Luck Travelbug.
We told my family last night and they are pretty excited they have only been hinting at me to have another since josh was born.
Been starting to feel a little queasy if i dont eat or drink often enough.
Oh and pee'd on another stick and got a much darker result.

Just talked to my wonderful midwife. She's stoked for us. Have had the same midwife for all but the first MC so she knows us well. Both my bubs were pretty plain sailing - total of 5 hrs labour each and no meds so hopefully this one will be the same.
Anyway, she's booked us in for first visit (mid Jan) and is ordering an early scan before Xmas (because of the MC history) so we are all go. Starting to seem a bit more real now. Yesterday I kept looking at the stick going "it can't be!!"
Looking forward to meeting any new August mummys.

I just hope so too. I am meeting a midwife next week but im planning a homebirth (will be my 3rd) so im pretty particular cuz i need to trust her 100%.
Im not feeling too flash either, usually means im having a girl yay, never had any morning sickness with both my boys.

wow a homebirth im not game enough for that although they do look like a good experience. Im just one of those people that if something can go wrong it will so relax a bit more once im at the hospital. I only have 1 birth experience to go off tho.

WRX I'm the same. I've had two trouble free hospital births and I'd still not be game to try the home birth thing. Good on you though fadeless.
Funny thing is homebirth would be most convienient for both me and our midwife - she lives just down the street but we both drive all the way across town to the hospital!!!

Its more because im not ever going near a hospital and having a c/s again. My first was a c/s (was a planned HB though) and my second was nearly a c/s, i gave birth on the operating table hehe. Changed midwife and had my first son 18 days overdue at home and my next son was an easy 2 1/2hr birth born on our living room floor.

WRX I note above you've told your family. Are you spreading the news wider - or waiting for the mystical 12 wk mark?? How about you fadeless?? I've decided to wait this time and tell our folks after the early scan - they'll figure it out at Chrissy when I'm not having a wine or too anyway. With the MC history though I'd like to wait til at least we see a healthy heartbeat. FX we do.

Really sorry for your loss anakk i hope its not too long before you are adding to your family.
We are telling immediate family and some close friends but after my early scan and ive seen the heartbeat i wont care who knows. My scan is booked for 16th Dec so cant wait. My MW is going with my last proper af for my LMP so puts me as due 24 July but think ill stay in here as I doubt im 6 1/2 wks and July has so many people in it to follow i dont think i could keep up although im sure Aug is due to take off soon!
