My VBAC failed because of failure to progress past 6CM, his head wouldn't come down, my epidural failed, the pethidine failed and I'm a big wussy who couldn't handle it any longer.
Afterwards the midwife said my pelvis might be a funny shape and he just could not come out naturally. Stubborn wee boy anyway as I was 10 days overdue!
Why did your VBAC fail and would you try again?

Yes my first one did fail. My son was posterior and in the military position. My waters had broken and he was stuck.
I did try again and gave birth easy as about 14 months after my second c-section :)
There could have been so many other factors as to why your vbac didnt happen, I am not so sure I would buy the funky pelvis story to be honest. I was told the same thing and told I could never ever birth my babies normally, that there must be something wrong with my pelvis that meant that my babies were malpositioned and wouldnt come out. I now know 100% that that is bs!

mine failed because charli was posterier and her head was flexed. everytime i pushed, she came down but would pop back up again and then her heartrate started going all over the place.
i would definately try again, but i'm not allowed as i got a large tear to my uterine wall during the c-section

I also sustained a large tear during my second c-section as well as having a bandles ring during labour and major wound infection. It is possible, it just increases the risks of rupture slightly compared to just two surgical scars.

my VBAC failed due to water leaking too long and induction was classed as failure to progress - it was classed as an emergency Ceasarian although never felt like that.
I was a little sad as part of the reason for going for #4 for me was for Dh to expereince a VB (first two not his bio and they were naturals)
But Elodie needed to come out and she was no where near coming out VB (head still way up even after 7 hours induction)
IF i was going to have another baby i would try for another VBAC even after 1 elective and 1 emergency ceasarian. I know my body can do it as first 2 was a natural.

Mine failed due to my waters being broken for more than 24hrs and not getting past 7cms. I was being induced but Stella turned and was in a really odd position, there was no way that she was coming out naturally.
I would definately try again for a VBAC, but I very much doubt I will be having anymore babies
