The last thing I want my bfp to do is bring hurt to anyone so on advice I thought I would start this thread.
A thread where those who are TTC and those who have been blessed with a bfp can come together and natter about anything....
Where those who are trying and those who have conceived and travelled the journey together can continue to their journeys together, even if on different paths, without fear of upsetting each other.
It maybe that nobody wants to chat in here but I figure it would be nice to have an option and then those who are "down" on TTC dont have to read anything about baby gear or pregnancy development or be confronted with scans they were not expecting.
This is in no way intended to be spiteful, merely taking on board the feelings of others (mine included). I may be pregnant at the moment but the reality of mc is ever present and while I am in the land of limbo I would still like the support of the TTC buddies!
Hopefully I am not chatting away to myself all day!

I'm sure you wont be talking to yourself Mel, I completely understand not wanting to leave the security of the TTC thread.
Lisa I have been so tempted to test early this month too with all the BFP's coming up it's so easy to get caught up in all the excitement, so far I have managed to resist.

Gosh your doing well Didi... I am pretending I am 14DPO but tbh I think I am actually on 10DPO....
Yup BK did my other discover at 4am.. I dont know why as my 2mu alwasy gives a better test result for some reason!!!! So it was uber faint.. less than yesterday afternoons test so of course I started freaking out.
I did another IC about 8am and it was the darkest IC yet so will just keeping doing them until I get my last lot of bloods back next week and then will do a discover for keepsies next week too.
My tooth isnt hurting anymore but my ear is... think it was a good idea starting the AB 's as I think the infection is spreading

I think this is a great idea Mel. I was uncomfortable chatting about pregnancy and baby stuff in the charting thread because if it were me still in there without a BFP I think i'd be quite emotional. At the same time though, I don't want to leave this place incase it all falls through in a week.

I have never yet had a positive POAS test- all of my pregnancies have been confirmed through blood tests. Though the first one the nurse did make me POAS first, I just never got to see that. She just told me I was pregnant (hesitantly I may add, and then asked me if this was a good thing- guess that's what you get when you go to the uni medical center and look 22yrs as opposed to 30yrs).

lol LA, I got asked whether having a -ive test was a good or bad thing when I first went to my GP after a late AF when we first started TTC...
lol Mel.. at least I have plenty of tests to test with if I so wish to... no matter where I am in my cycle!
My 'keeps' bfp was the quickcard one I did the day after my first bfp... was a freebie I picked up at the birthing unit when my sister had #3 in June that year (tested Oct 2nd) and it was just the right size to put in my scrapbook!

I will do a scrapbook but wont start that until 12wks I don't think. I can start with the ideas and pictures but not correlate them until all things are certain. You will have to show me yours BK when I come up to go shopping at some stage. DH has told me no more shopping this week haha.

Hi Mel a little box is a good idea for all those speaial things.
Just wanted to say you're a lovely person and I agree that no one ever intends feelings to get hurt but it just happens unintetionally. TTC is an emotion journey for everyone here. I'm still here to support you and am so incredily glad you finally got your BFP! I am very sad that some of the joy was taken away yesterday because of all the other stuff going on.
Maybe we should catch up for another coffee some day soon?

LOL Bosta, another coffee date would be nice!
Heaf when I was TTC Jake the chart thread was just that.. charting. We pretty much nattered about everything else in the W2O or 2WW threads... these days those 2 are pretty quiet but the chart thread is the chatty one.
I think this way for those of us who like talk about rubbish of any kind we can do it here and anyone coming in here knows that anything goes so if you are feeling a bit down probably not the best thread to be in.

I never really liked being in those other 2 threads cos just as you start getting into the swing of things and chatting away in one thread, you either ov or get af, and have to go off to the other, and just keep bouncing back and forth... whereas the charting thread is a constant...
Bobsta, you'll have to let us know when your up for coffee next, and I'll road trip out your guys way to join you!

Definitely BK. Might be a few weeks away at least cos am super busy for some reason at the moment!
I just wanted to add on to what H said and say that yes when I am in a down moment seeing a BFP is hard but then am really excited! I definietly don't want anyone to stop talking about their BFP'S!!!! It's what keeps me going, lol. I love seeing scans etc as it gives me the warm fuzzies knowing there's a gorgeous wee bub growing somewhere.
I know I'm a tad sensitive about baby gear...so sorry about that. Will just need to toughen up as that's life eh?! I think you're all wonderful and I think we do provide great support to each other for the good and the bad. I don't want anyone to stop sharing!!!

Great idea Mel, I felt a little bit in limbo once I started TTC, and was no longer waiting and I'm not charting, I only went in there for someone to talk to. Maybe you can call it the not waiting not charting TTC thread.
Do we have to introduce ourselves?
My actual name is Fleur, have previously been fleury and mrsg1 now caliandjack hard to keep track sometimes. I'm 36 married to DH for almost 2 years and been off bcp for 1 year now. Spent 5 months of 2009 comuting for work so technically only seriously TTC since Sept. I've had my BT done and everything is normal, AF showed up after 28 days this month so going to go for it this month and see if my odd cycles were a blip on an otherwise normal program.
Month end at work for me so busy busy, will check back in later.

Have you read any of Richelle Mead's stuff Bobsta? I think it's just as good as twilight- slightly different but still vampires!

Aww that's the cutest blinkie!!
I would offer them to you to read, but just remembered that Hopes has the first one of the series. I must find out if she's read it yet or not.
I have so many books to read at the moment (had a bit of a TM spend) I don't know where to start. They are all massive too, the size of "this charming man" by Marian Keyes.

I like big books so i can really get stuck in to them. nothing worse than just loving a book then it's all over before you know it! Might have to buy them...I like to read books over and over so tend to just buy them.

I buy all of my books, but hate to read them more than once lol. I can't read something i've read before. I am a bit of a book geek though and my favourite room in my dream house will be my library one day

OB has no decent articles on anything pregnancy related, how dumb! It means I have to go off to American or UK sites to read up on anything relevant. I think this is a major flaw.

I am going shopping for a couple of skirts today- any recommendations as to where to go? I would like to get ones with belly bands if I can, but I doubt I will find any of them (doesn't help by the fact that I wouldn't know where to even look for them lol). I just want something that is going to sit comfortably over my tummy. Mel- any suggestions?

I actually found a few skirts with bands at farmers last year as they seem to be the fashion atm (still wearing them now) and in the maternity section of kmart.
With skirts I dont think it will matter if you buy mat ones now cos if the band gets to tight on your tummy later on you can wear the skirt as a top...
Actually that would work for a regular skirt with a band....

I never thought of K Mart, will try there too. Was thinking Farmers and the Warehouse.

LA, try the PP outlet out at the Base (I think thats what its called?) they had some nice pants and skirts with built in bellybands up at our one, so I imagine Hamilton would have some too. I got cargo pants that roll up from 7/8 to 3/4 pants and have built in belly band for $20!
Hmm.. what kind of smoothie did you have again Mel??

I missed your post BK, but will head out there later and see if they have them. I would like some cargo + belly band, especially at that price!
I just went to the warehouse and got two skirts, one just regular one, and the other a maya mum2b one with a band. I can't fit that one yet as I don't have a real bump but it was on sale for $13 so would've been a fool not to get it. The regular one is just black 7/8 length, and the maya one is a denim one at knee length- true mum styles lmao.
I then went to farmers but couldn't find anything. So went to glassons and they had regular skirts there with a band, so got one of them, and then this really pretty dress with free slip to go under it. That will be more for like evening bbq's as it's really cool. I would like a couple more of the glassons skirts but they only had size 8, so will go into town in a couple of weeks and see if they have size 10 for me to move in to.
I can't believe the difference that 1 degree celcius makes to your core temperature, i've never been this hot in my life lol.
This is all very exciting. Just wish I was further along so I had more confidence with it sticking. It's funny too because I get the odd pang or slight cramp every once in a while and i'm already rubbing my stomach as though i'm buddah ahahaha.

Yep, that's the one I got!! I want more now. I got it in a dusky blue colour. Was tempted to go for black but already purchased a skirt in black at the warehouse (but the glassons ones are nicer I think). The only other colours this store had were white, peach, yellow and maybe a darker blue.
