I got a phone call from my GP today regarding my hcg levels which I had tested on Friday which was 9DPO and they where 18. She thinks that is very low and is getting me to do another test tomorrow at which time I will be 13DPO.
I am really worried now.

I tested again on Sunday morning and this morning and tests are def getting darker.

Had a tiny bit of blood yesterday and today when wiping after going to the loo but have been told not to worry if its just a little bit and I don't have cramps.

Ashleigh - when did you have your bloods done?

Are you telling family and/or friends already or are you guys waiting?
I'm dying to tell but DH wants to wait till 12 weeks. However he is starting to get excited and tried calling his dad last night. No answer though. We will wait till the weekend and call him again and also call my parents.
Other than that I think we will wait till the 6 week scan to tell really close friends.

Hey ladies, I would love to join! After 2 years of TTC, 10 rounds of clomid and a month before we started IVF I got my miracle BFP! Due date 2nd November just had my second lot of bloods done today and they have been doubling every 2 days since Thursday so the nurse said everything looking great!

Susi I found this on a website about HCG:

"There is a large variation in a "normal" HCG level for any given time in pregnancy.

In general, the HCG level will double every 2-3 days in early pregnancy.

85% of normal pregnancies will have the HCG level double every 72 hours."

Don't worry of your HCG is not as high as someone else's, the main thing is that it is increasing.

Hi guys , i've decided Im staying in here unless AF arrives and proves me otherwise , I really don't think that first test was wrong ,its too dark and clear to have been a false one

Im definetly finding out btw, I don't even mind what it is,but I love getting to find out ,did with C and Ty as well

Not many symptoms here, bit of bb tenderness that comes and goes and nausea

haha Ashleigh, you should have said "maybe YOUR parents should have used them too !"

I don't tend to lurk anywhere but am coming in due to a very special lady from our forum having her first BFP and wanting to wish her well in this new forum. I am sure you will all be lovely and supportive, but take special care of our Bella as she is amazing

Tal - this is so sweet of you to make sure Bella will be okay on here!

Had my second lot of hCG bloods done today.
9DOP - 18
13DPO - 200

Am very happy about that one! GP wants me to do 2 more bloods every 5 days from now but am really not sure if I need to have them done. Made an appt to see doctor (different GP) tomorrow morning and ask her about it and confirm that I will be getting a 6 week scan.

Did another HPT today just to reasure myself. I still don't have any sympthoms apart from the feeling AF is on its way which seems to be normal.

Off to GP this morning, hopefully she will book me in for the 6 weeks scan!

Sypthoms for anybody yet?
Nothing for me what so ever. The feeling AF is going to arrive is gone too I think. So still doing the occasional test for reassurance...

Is anybody else loosing weight? I have been every day, even if its just a couple of 100g or so. Must be because I am eating super healthy now?

I caved yesterday and had a quick look around babycity but have decided to wait with all this a little bit longer. But have called FIL and a very close friend last night to tell them. Will call my parents on the weekend. Its quite funny as DH was really convinced that we should not tell anybody till 12 weeks - sure enough now it's him who kept asking me when he can call his dad! I think somebody is getting excited...

I had no symptoms at all except for serious cramping 8dpo to 13dpo oh and heartburn and a really bad lower backache for a couple of days which is what made me 'wonder'. I think that 'AF is going to arrive' feeling is slowly leaving me but i definitely had it! Yesterday my bbs started hurting noticably and especially when i woke up this morning, ouch Something i was hoping i wouldnt get but oh well i would put up with anything for this little one

i lost 15 kgs by the time my 2nd tri rolled around. just from MS. was throwing up about 4-8 times a day (depending on how i felt lol) but something i found was that McDs cheeseburgers and frozen cokes for AGES were the only thing that would stay down....

and for those with bad MS... the following advice may sound gross or out of place, but you will appriciate it one day hehe... (but i really dont want to come across sounding like one of those know-it-all women coz i dont... this is just what worked for me, and if i can help one poor soul with bad MS then thats awesome!)

1. Peanut Butter tastes the same both ways... (so peanut butter toast or sammy if you know you going to be sick is good)
2. DONT eat weetbix if you going to throw up.... it clogs your throat, takes twice as long to bring ANY of it up and gives you a really sore throat.
3. Banana smoothies are life savers when the thought of chewing just makes you want to lie down. (my fave way to make, 2 bananas, milk, a scoop of ice cream and some honey)
4. you would be surprised at how much a boiled lolly can help keep sick feelings down while trying to make something to eat!

good luck guys!!!!!!!!!!!

(and SeaBands worked really well for me, quite often thats the only way i made it to work......... but they dont work for everyone... bout 20 bucks from a pharmacy)

My GP arranged for me to have an early (6week) scan just to make sure all is in the right place I assume.

I had quite heavy implantation bleeding, this may be one of the reasons. I don't mind - I'm very happy about it, it will make is so much more real I think!

I'm kinda happy about it as I can't stand the thought of vomiting but wouln'd mind a little bit of MS or ANY sympthoms to make it a little bit more real... Maybe I shouldn't say that or I might regret it later on!

We've now told all the parents! I skyped with my dad but forgot mum was on holiday with a girlfriend. Once I was talking to dad I just could not stop myself from telling him even so I really wanted both of them to hear it together. Dad called mum straight away and put her on speaker phone so I could tell her myself which was really nice! She is now already! busy planning their trip out here in November. I really really really hope this baby is gonna come early or at least on time otherwise they will miss it which would really suck big time!

to many... I'm an addict me thinks.
I've done 2 discover and maybe 4 Quickstream or so. Got a few of them left too... The quickstream are on special at the warehouse pharmacy at the moment - 3 for $9! So just had to buy some more. I also want to keep a test but the discover go really yellow and look yuck. The Quickstream stay the same colour but are not as sensitive so wanted one with a really bright line - which is what I got this morning!
So I guess no more test from now on!

No MS for me at all. At this stage I have no sympthomps what so ever, hence me getting a little OTT with the tests

Its our first pregnancy so have no idea what to expect really!
Maybe you are luck and can escape the MS this time?

Okay then, I'll continue talking to myself
Just had a call from Bunny Cummings a midwife I contacted yesterday and had a very nice and very long chat to her. I think I will feel very comfortable with her. She will send me a whole heap of info and I'll meet her at 10 weeks which will be at the beginning of April.

I had just ordered myself some Elevit today but she did not speak very highly of it. I've been taking FA from the chemist so far and she recommends to keep doing this as well as taking the Blackmores pregnancy supplement. As this is manufactured by a healthfood company rather than a drug company they are not allowed to ad a high does of FA so extra is nessecary.
The melevit has the right dosage of FA but does not contain Iodine and DHI (?) which is needed during pregnancy. Very interessting.

hey susyl ill have a chat to ya lol.

ive heard alot of MWs dont think too highly of Elevit... not only that... but the price! i only took FA for the first 90 days after i found out (at 6 weeks) but its up to you as to which one you choose to take, if any....

i mightve missed this... but were you TTC or did it "just happen"?

I got of BCP in October and we've been trying since. I thought I got a got deal on the Elevit today $75 for 3 months worth. Oh well - never mind! I'll try and sell or return it maybe.

man that took me ages to figure out what BCP was lol. and awesome that you got a BFP!

i think thats a pretty good price on Elevit (from what ive noticed)... if you take it, well every little bit helps..... then if you decided to change to the blackmores one or nothing, again its compeltely up to you.

have you told many people yet?

re Elevit: ive heard from a few pregnant ladies and new mums that elevit can make morning sickness far worse. and for others they took it and had no MS.

so go ahead with taking it but if MS is real bad stop taking it and within a few days MS may very well be all but gone.

Ok. So I will stop my mystery lurking for now and join in with you all.

We are expecting baby #3.

Not 100% sure on a due date but by going with when I think I ovulated I will stick with 1/11/2010.

Very excited and nervous. Only my Mum knows at this stage so if anyone else is lurking and knows me on face book please keep it quiet for now.

Ohhh, sorry about that.

How are you feeling today Susyl?

I have had a couple of bouts of nausea since getting my BFP and had a head ache for the past couple of days but that has gone now (thank god). Oh and I have been waking up extremely hot/sweaty during the night!? Other then that it still does not feel real hence why I have done about 4 tests.

I have been in contact with my MW I had with DS and she is happy to take me on again and is sending out my referral for first bloods, I maybe able to get an early scan to confirm due date, she gave me one for DS to confirm dates, which is always reassuring.
