What ??!!! What ?! omg ! thats frigging awesome !!!! im so excited you are on here with me Frex !

Ceres , im 28 too :-D

With my scan with Ty , he had his legs wide open , even if we hadn't wanted to find out, there was no way we couldnt have been oblivious , even DH could see that we had a boy there

Anyone started thinking of names ? we have so far decided on Alysha Grace for a girl (A leesha ) but not sure about the Grace part yet .
I want to spell Alysha that way cos it has the LY that Tyler and Caitlyns names both have ....

Can someone add me in when they edit the due date list. I'd try from here but the stupid work computer always mucks it up

This will be #1 for us, due around 5th Feb and I'm 31 (at least for another 3 weeks )   I want to find out, DH doesn't, but I've still got a while to convince him

Still can't believe you're joining us in the Feb thread freckle

Faffer my dp didn't want to find out but I did. I twisted his arm by saying if baby showed us we'd know if not it'd be a surprise. He agreed and she showed us which I think was good because he had his heart set on a boy so had a few mins to come round and yeah hope that makes sense!!

Hi ladies :-D

Faffer, I haven't been physically sick yet , I just wake with nausea each day , with Ty I was only sick twice (both times after eating food I was craving , what a waste)
With C , I got no symptoms, I just hadnt seen af for a while, so did a test and the next day , at 6 weeks I started throwing up , grand !

Thanks lurkers !

Great idea nkap he can't argue with that.

Kelly - DH thinks I've got my first craving. I've been overdosing on ginger to keep the nausea at bay - pumpkin & ginger mash for dinner last night, munching on gingernuts and slurping lemon & ginger tea all day. I might have to bake some gingerbread that he can toast for me for breakfast in bed

how about some ginger ale Faffer ?

with both my pregnancies so far , I craved peanut butter
And with C I craved pears, and mudcake ....til I ate a whole big one to myself in about 1/2 an hour ...then I didn't like it so much

anyone find some foods taste weird to them ? milk , all milk, even unopened milk , tastes sour to me

Almost no symptoms here so far at all (except a bit of tiredness and baby brain), I'm almost actually jealous of you ladies who have had some! (Haha, I'm sure I'll regret saying that once MS hits). No food aversions either Kelly, though I have cut out coffee out of 'it's better to be safe than sorry' logic, and I have noticed that! Great timing, I have exams starting next Tuesday and about now I'd be increasing my caffeine intake for study, but I wouldn't change it for the world .

LOL KA - yeah I'll def be hoping for early feb! we could do shared chipmucks parties with the four wee ones hehe....

Limo - thanks! you're so right, I loved having DD2 in Jan, it's so nice and warm for getting up to feed in the night and they live in wee singlets ...

Faffer - I have no real sickness yet, damn tired tho, and metallic mouth... and I have this thing that I
feel like I have to hold my lower tummy when I cough or sneeze or I get wee pains... I've had it everytime I've been UTD and usually one of my first signs...

Kelly - I'm lovin milk!! can't get enough... but no cravings yet... lots of things I just don't feel like eating though...

Hi Everyone

I am due on 13 February although I think I will be late. This is my second pregnancy. My daughter, Natalie (who is also a feb babe!) is now 16 months old and all grown up :)

I'm so excited to be having another baby although I'm not that great at being pregnant!   I wasn't sick with Natalie just so super tired and I found it really hard working full time. This time will hopefully be heaps easier.... hahaha.. dreaming I know!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome Mel . Will you be finding out what you're having? I'll add you to our list .

Kate I think the 21st must be a great date, it's also Happygal's birthday, I'm taking this to mean good things .

freckle, yup, this is a clomid baby . At our last scan before triggering ovulation there was one lead follicle, and two smaller, yet still 'large enough' follicles, so it's possible that there is more than one. I've always thought twins were great, and we'd be over the moon if there were two onboard . Only 11 sleeps until we find out!

Kelly no real idea what we're having, but for some reason I'm leaning towards a girl, not sure why! BTW love the middle name Grace, if we do have a girl, that's what her middle name will be in honour of my grandmother. I also love how you're looking at putting 'ly's in each of your children's names too, that's really cool .

especially if you get a cruisy happy baby like mine .

Thanks Ceres, Im a bit of a weirdo like that , unfortunatley I don't know many boy names that have LY , except Kyle and Rylan , and DH likes neither

I am leaning more towards girl , but I think thats because I've always expected to have girl boy girl , like 6 generations before me ,so I am trying to make myself think its a boy so I get excited about that too ...which would be good of course, would work out better with Ty any how !

Gosh Feb thread is gaining strengh now. Dr just rang tonight to tell me that he defiantly thinks I am 5 weeks after latest bloods

Did ask about a dating scan but he said they quite short staffed & might take awhile.. so think i will just book in for the 12 week scan since really it is only 6-7 weeks away.

gosh this is all so new to me.. quite scary really

Morning ladies! I'm not overly hungry, if anything, I feel like I've got less of an appetite than usual which is weird. I am exhausted though, I feel ready for a nap already! Hmm, not a happening thing, two exams next week I'm nowhere near ready for .

I know what you mean thmprs, I almost wish I felt nauseous, just so I knew it was real, haha cause clearly 7 HPTs and 3 blood tests aren't enough proof for me! I can just see me regretting saying this in a couple of weeks if MS hits .

Hey Kelly, just to throw one out there... What about Lyal... (Li-al) (I'm pretty sure that's not the proper spelling of it though)

yup , suggested both Lyle /Lyal and Rylan to DH and he vetoed it .
And then threatened to call the baby MacGuyver ...so im not discussing boys names with him anymore !

those who haven't got any symptoms yet, usually , especially with first babies , they hit around 6 weeks, we'll see if ya still smiling then !

Kelly - try http://www.babynamesworld.com - www.babynamesworld.com you can search names containing a comination of letters within them and narrow it by boy or girl, origin, etc. There's bound to be something on there DH can live with

Got breakfast in bed this morning - DH brought me in crumpets and OJ. I knew there was a reason I loved him

Ah yeah good old 6 weeks, I was at the optometrist (still didn't know I was UTD) I looked rather green and he kept asking if I was alright but I felt so hot/sweaty and clammy and like I was going to be sick and couldn't work out why!

I'm so excited to be having another baby although I'm not that great at being pregnant!   I wasn't sick with Natalie just so super tired and I found it really hard working full time. This time will hopefully be heaps easier.... hahaha.. dreaming I know!

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

KA - I'm interested to see what you think I'm having

I think boys are pretty awesome but I have also said to Dh that if this is another boy he may have to check me into a mental home

Well ms has kicked in and I feel like c**p to make it even better we are moving to the Mount tomorrow and I'm utterly useless. I've got no energy, not sleeping and just eating horrible food.

I hope everyone else is doing better

Yeah your boys are lovely KA - it's just I'm use to girl's ya know, but I would love a boy... but a girl would be nice for Holly and I already have girl's clothes and names... so either way would good and one of each would be the best hehe

Limo -ya poor thing - I was moving house with MS last time and it was yucky...

Kelly what a shame ya DH is so difficult - Rylan is a lovely name! infact it may go on my list...

I'm relatively symptom free at the mo... so did another hpt and yip still UTD... phew

Limochick that sounds horrible, big hugs to you and I hope you have a lot of support and get through tomorrow okay .

I like the name Rylan too Kelly and Freckle, though it would sound pretty terrible with our last name unfortunately!

Hehe freckle, I've done a silly amount of HPTs, it just doesn't seem possible it's real after waiting so long to get to this point. Next BT is Wednesday and I can't wait, I just want to see that HCG number getting larger and larger .

I take back my earlier comment about not having as much of an appetite, all I've done is eaten all afternoon, yogurt, toast, fruit . Unsure how much of this has to do with procrastination of exam study and how much is real hunger though!

I know what ya mean Ceres my pile of hpts is rather ridiculous and I still have about ten more... think I'm gonna get DF to hide them from me though... I'm finding it really hard to believe it is actually finally happening too...

Poor you having exams! what are ya studying?

I've only got one left now, and I've told myself I'm not allowed to buy any more since my scan is only 10 days away, so that will be the end of my addiction .

LOL does your DF realise how many you've got left? It's not like there's any harm in doing them, and it's just so amazing to see those two lines appear. I love that the test line is now so so dark and appears before the control line now too .

I'm studying psychology .

yeah he does, but he's grown use to my hpt addiction over the last few years ... they're just ICs... I resisted the temptation to buy more at the supermarket today...

Sweet, I always regretted not doing psyc undergrad, it's so interesting... but I'm doing my Phd now which is in education but psyc related also... Good luck for ya exams

Thanks girls for the sympathy We moved house this time last year as well and of course I had ms then as well I'm just really lucky that dh is awesome and his parents are coming up from Waikanae to help us.

I've never been one to get addicted to testing but it is amazing when you see those lines come up

Ceres - yay for your scan only being 10days away

Sooooo tired ! omg , I just want to sleep all day ! and im so moody ! I have such a short fuse lately , and when Im driving , omg , I look like I have tourettes , swearing at other drivers on the road etc ....

Thanks for the luck Freckle, normally I'm super organised and would have put in a lot more hours by now, but I've been some what distracted over the past week! I'm doing honours this year, so really need to step it up! That's great that you're doing a Phd in education, what are you looking at? My goal is to do a DClinpsy, so will (hopefully) be doing a doctoral thesis at some point. How do you find it with having little one/s around?

Kelly I think we all lean at least a little way on preferences, hard not to! I told DH I'd love for our first to be a girl, because I've always wanted a girl, but realistically, whatever we get will be so amazing and absolutely cherished.

Limo you poor thing, moving twice within two years, let alone with MS! Will this be a final move for a while?

lol,
We moved June 2009 , then feb 2010 (both times because the landlord needed to sell )
then last month we moved again, and I better not be moving again for a looooong time .
Thats 4 times in less than ONE year .

I've always wanted a girl as well but I'm not counting my chickens

Kelly - I'm like you at the moment and have a very short fuse so I can sympathise I feel very sorry for my family

Ceres - I really hope this will be it for awhile but we haven't had the best of luck with rentals. We have to have a healthy home cos my oldest son has a heart condition and gets sick. NZ houses just aren't up to the standard that they should be!!

I'm a speech language therapist so my research is on the influence temperament has on treatment outcomes for preschool children will speech sound difficulties. I did my undergrad and Masters fulltime when DD1 was little and had no probs... when DD2 came along I was ayear into my PhD and hadn't managed to get all my data collected so ended up suspending my enrolment for a year... I started again at the start of this year so not sure how I'll go now But if your organised and have help to call on when ya desperate it's no problem having a wee one and studying! So are you applying for clinical next year??

Hi Ladies

Thanks for the lovely welcomes :) And thanks ElfsMum for your message. Its just the pregnancy that I'm worried about at the moment - haven't quite got around to thinking about the changes in Natalie's routines etc with a newborn!

I'm more tired and I swear my tummy is bigger already! I had to buy new suits in a smaller size for work this year because I lost so much weight from breastfeeding. I can just see myself getting big far too fast...

I'm also worried about every little funny feeling in my tummy.... I had forgotten about the constant pregnancy worry. I'm going to leave the whole midwife issue for next week. I want the same one as I had last time but I'm just too scared to contact her right now! Oh so silly...

Kelly - I want another girl too. But I guess a boy would be lovely too. Deep down I would like Natalie to have a little sister...

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

I don't set your short fuse off Kelly, it is preggy hormones that set it off, not your lovely Mum and I really want you to have a girl too

That's a lot of moving Kelly , fingers crossed for you that you get to stay put for a long long time .

Limochick crossing fingers for you too that this house works out better than your previous homes have. I absolutely agree about NZ homes being completely below par. I have circulation problems and asthma, and also have to live in a 'healthy' home, so understand the pain to a certain extent.

Freckle that's the plan, yup. If I get in I'll only have to do a couple of papers in 2012 to complete the first Clinical year requirements as I'm doing some of the compulsary papers as part of my honours this year. I'm really pleased with how that's worked out timing wise because I'll be able to be home a little more than I would have been able to otherwise. Still have to get in though! Very competitive program.

Your research sounds very interesting, hopefully you'll have the bulk of the data by the time this little one comes along so you can get into the writing stage? Best of luck!
