Well, I'll start the ball rolling! We calculate either 31st March or 1st April as the due date. I've decided to go with the due in April thread as, if number two is late like number one was I'll be the very last of the March ladies to give birth and that would just make the waiting even worse! Not so sure about April Fools Day as a due date though
Thanks for all the early well wishes :-) Can't wait to get to know all those April mummies who don't even know they are UTD yet and even some April babies yet to be conceived... exciting!

Congratulations KandK, RBsMama, Greenstone27 and Leahsmummy!
Thanks for the due date list RBsMama I can assure you all now that I will go nowhere near the list as I am sure to stuff it up! We are not sure if we are going to find out if baby is a boy or a girl. We found out with the last one and had her named as soon as we knew, we loved that we bonded with her and could use her name early on. I read somewhere that there is a hormone or something released when you find out after giving birth which sounds lovely too... I don't know if we can be that patient!
Essjay -We are actually on our way home to NZ after 5 years in Sharm el Sheikh. I am sure having a NZ summer pregnancy will be much easier than an Egyptian one!
Rachelsea -Fingers crossed you join us in a few weeks!

Hi all. Yes it has been a journey for us, so I hope this one works out.. we had just started our first fertitlity appt a few weeks back as it had been a year since we had been trying... everything was normal for us, hubby count good, me all good. I was waiting for my period to come so I could book a dye test to check if tubes were blocked and well.... it never came.... so its exciting for us... still early days and I cant help but worry cause of what happened last time we got to this stage. we got to the scan and had a blighted ovum.... so Im not going to relax until I have my scan. I am booked to docs on friday to get it all confirmed, and then i will book in for a scan a couple weeks after...

so far all good... just a 'wet; feeling down there... im guessing its normal?? and my boobs have grown me thinks haha... they seem fuller?? TMI..

congrats to you all... and yes I will find out what im having if we get to that point.. exciting times :)

Leahsmummy -yeah, we are planning on travelling around a bit in a camper van when we get back... our first NZ winter since 2002   Maybe we are being a little silly?!?!
OMG, I have not lost the baby weight from the last one yet and have realised I will not be able to do bump pictures for this one as I already look 5 months preggers LOL
Hope everyone is feeling well and we all have sticky bubbas

Done, sorry, it doesn't affect my computer so I didn't know it was causing a prob
I tried to go and pay for a scan here and they wouldn't do it without a dr's referral, we are so used to being able to pay for anything and get it in Egypt we were a bit put out LOL! We saw our OB once a month and had a scan each time plus, when I had bleeding during the first trimester we could pop in and make sure everything was ok, it was scan overload! I am going to miss that kind of service but am really looking forward to being supported by a midwife as there is no such thing in Egypt. When do you get scans in the NZ public system?

Love the list heading Leahsmummy! I just changed the ? in Greenstone's due date to the 3rd.

Welcome Hayley! Congrats. Having a cold is a good sign, as your immune system weakens to support a pregnancy (ie doesn't fight the embyro), so even though you're feeling yucky, your body's doing the normal thing.

3 of us due on the same day Must be a good sign.
I've only told my best friend and a close workmate so far, apart from DH of course . DHs parents are due to visit next weekend, so we thought we would tell them and my parents (who live locally) at the same time. I won't tell my siblings etc until closer to 12 weeks though. The reason we telling the parents so early is A) ILs live out of town and we'll like to tell them in person B) If anything bad happens, I want my mummy to know. I also told my BFF as she lives out of town and she was visiting this weekend and took us out for dinner and I wasn't drinking, busted!
I saw my dr on tuesday when I took DS for an ear and chest infection and told him I was pregnant. All he did was ask me when my last period was and told me when I was due. They didn't do anything when I was pregnant with DS either. My MW did everything, which is fine now, but it really annoyed me with my first pregnancy as we were so excited and felt fobbed off by the GP. I will ring my MW tomorrow

Haven't told anyone yet. Will wait as long as I can gt away with it - but might need to tell people at work that I won't be back for good next year.

And no symptoms at all here - except what RBsmama said about the immune system explains why I had a cold that I just couldn't shake three weeks ago . Mind you last time I didn't get any symptoms until about four months along, so nothing new there.

Mind if I join in?

I had a positive test last Friday - very exciting! From my calculations, I am due on the 5th of April. Hopefully, everything goes well!

We are living in London at the moment, but I wanted to join in a New Zealand forum to talk to kiwis!

We haven't told anyone yet. But I really want to tell my Mum so I can ask her questions.

I have been having cramps the last couple of days, but other than that am feeling fine.

Welcome londonmade and congratulations :-) The forums were a lifeline for me when I was living in Egypt and needed some like minded mums to be to chat with, I hope we can do the same!

We have told my parents and my family that are here in Perth. I also emailed my best mates back in Egypt. We are going to try and keep it a secret till we can tell the NZ family in person in a few weeks time. Our entire pregnancy was in Egypt last time so we really missed telling everyone in person. We are not ones to be able to keep it secret till past twelve weeks, we are too excited and would want people to know and be able to support us in the (touchwood, won't happen) case of a mc.

Just did another test this afternoon, just for fun. The line is gettign darker and came up straight away... yay for tiny little babies!

I'm just lurking and thought I would say Essjay - that you are entitled to the 14 weeks paid maternity leave after you have been in your job for 6 months, so as long as you are already there you will get that.
It is just the extended leave that you aren't entitled to....but some companies will work with you to find the best solution, so you never know!

Oh wow, thanks monkeys! I always thought you had to be there a year. That makes me feel so much better.. Have been frantically looking for the contract to check - Can't exactly ask for one when I'm there without raising a few eyebrows!!

Thank you for the welcome! I hope that everyone is feeling good this morning in NZ!

How is everyone dealing with not giving the game away issues? I am not out tonight with my husband and tomorrow night we are meant to be going to a champagne bar with my work friends. Saturday is a BBQ and Sunday is lunch with some close friends who are wine and food buffs like my DH and I (the food restrictions are already annoying me!) I am thinking that I might develop a UTI tomorrow morning.

Summer in London is all about socialising and since no one really lives in houses with gardens and most people are without children it is all about eating out and drinking!

Yep i would say honey and lemon drinks and pandol and there are some throat lollies you can have but get them from a chemist so you can ask them. Hope you start feeling better soon.

I was feeling pretty weak this morning and DH said last night that i was looking pale, but i feel better now that ive have some toast.

The sticky baby thing is so cute.

I haven't been to the doctor to confirm yet as I am in the process of registering with a new doctor. I did discover last night, that for the hospital that I will probably give birth in I don't need a referral for a midwife, so I might give them a call this afternoon.

Will we find out - no, plus in a lot of areas of the UK they don't tell you anyway unless you go private.

so hows everyone feeling? me, normal as? Boobs fine, They seem fuller, but not sore and the veins are more noticable. No sickness, not tired.

I am rather "wet" down there though.... is that normal???? Feels like my period is there all the time...lol..

I worry as this is how I felt the last time I got pregnant and ended up being a blighted Ovum.. so I cant wait until I get these blood results so I can tell whats going on in there... wish I could see into the future.. lol..

Hope everyones all good :)

Yeah my cold is getting better, last night I felt terrible, my head was sore, throat was sore.. today much better.

I am VERY emotional today... ive cried like twice... mainly with worring that this isnt going to work out, and thats mainly becase from apart from a missed period and feeling extra moist down there I dont feel anything like being pregnant, which is how I was when I had my blighted Ovum.... hard not to think about it, but I will try... guess it doesnt help worrying either..

Hope u are all having a good weekend. Going out for lunch tomorrow for the mother in laws bday and then back to work monday so that will keep be busy :)

Ohh greenstone, am thinking of you. I'm also a worrier and haven't even had your experience, so I can only imagine how you are feeling. Try and stay positive and just take one jump at a time... blood results on Monday, and again Wed or Thurs. Am sure this will be a sticky sticky bubba for you    I had no symptoms at all with DS until 7 weeks, and felt like a total fraud - and then I didn't stop spewing until almost 20 weeks!

Hope you manage to have a nice relaxing evening tonight, and a good kip. Hunker down, and make sure that boy of yours looks after you!!

Grennstone I now its easy said then done but try not to worry I can get wet from time to times to esp in the 2ww i was very wet

I was thinking i was going to get another set of hcgs done on Monday because of my mc but i think ill just let nuture take its course, and wait til my early scan

Hiya ladies
Welcome Londonmade. I hope your weekend goes well.
Greenstone, fingers crossed you get great blood results on monday. I'm a born worrier and worried heaps with my first pregnancy. I feel a little calmer this time round, so far . I'm still a chronic knicker checker when I go to the loo though. Essjay's right, just take it one test/day at a time. Sticky vibes for you
Well I've been okay so far. Tired, but I think that's pregnancy combined with a sick toddler this week. My boobs haven't been sore or bigger, which is different with DS's pregnancy, as they were tender and bigger by the 5th week. I feel nausea off and on each day, but at least this time around, I'm not eating as much, which is a good thing
I've also spoken to my mw from last time and she's happy to take me on again. I have my first meeting with her on the 18th August. It'll be great to see her again. I'm looking forward to her seeing DS again, as she hasn't seen him since he was 8 weeks old.
Anyways, I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Happy 1st August ladies! Only 1 month until spring and it was a lovely day here. Got to 19 degrees which was great.

I hope you're all feeling better today and are kicking butt on those colds. Is anyone else feeling tired? I feel tired in waves, but especially in the morning, when I have to get out of bed .

Well, I'd better get off my butt and help DH clean up the kitchen, then off to bed. Have a super busy week at work ahead of me. I hope I can keep up, hehe.

Take care

Morning! My baby got up for her second night feed (this time zone, moving thing has sent the routine haywire) so I thught it would be business hours in NZ and I could call and book my midwife but its not even 4am -brilliant!
My boobs are def bigger and some nausea when I get tired. I didn't get any major symptoms till week 6 last time but have my fingers crossed this will be one of those magical (fictonal ?) ones where you don't feel sick at all... I can dream!
I am very impatient and like to know everything NOW so my last pregnancy was a lesson in patience. I had bleeding from week 6 - 17 so have fingers crossed that doesn't happen again too. It's nice to finally see baby on a scan and then relax a bit!
