Oh and just some info about me - I'm 29 and my DH is 39. This is baby No. 1....well really it's baby No. 2 as I mis-carried at 13 weeks in Feb this year. But this one is going to be a good one...I can feel it :)

Hi Smiles, go into your profile (above the new topic button at the top of the page) and copy and paste your ticker into "signature". It will then post at the bottom of every post, and automatically updates.
A bit about me - I'm 26, DH is 29, and we have a 20 month old DD. WAHM doing in-home childcare, so have 2 other kids full time as well! My vote is for the top blinky

Smiles yes it will automatically update but what you need to do is put it in your signature so you don't have to C&P it for every message.
So if you scoll to the top of the page on the right hand side you will see where it says active topics memberlist search etc click on the one that says profile. This allows you to enter what info you want to display along the left side of your post as well as your signature. When adding your ticker alway chose the shorter code (bb I think it's called) and I usually click preview just to check it's working. I hope that helps! Panda great work on the list! Hi Girls!
I had my first MW appointment today. Was great to meet her! I have had a BT this morning to check hcg levels, and have another to do on Thursday - to check my levels are rising as they should. MW is also booking me in for an early scan (this week or next) as I was on clomid we have a higher chance of having twins
Not much else to report. No MS, No sore boobs, No pains anywhere, feel very unpregnant - which is why I'm having the bloods to check hcg. Hopefully they will come back nice and high - we are a bit worried as I feel so good. AFM - I'm Nicky 28, DH is 36, ad this is baby #3 for us. We have been trying for 18 months for this baby, and were on our 5th clomid cycle, so feel very relieved to be here. I'm a SAHM/WAHM, and run a business selling cloth nappies from home. I hope all those who are feeling terrible feel better soon, or atleast manage to get a rest or 2 in!! My son is 5 today, so we are having family over tonight. Currently i work fulltime as a Trade Facilitator but will be finishing on the 17th of December as my hubby has a job in Sydney starting Jan. So will be working casually/part time in temp jobs over there until i find it too much. Feel so lucky that this has happened at this time as it alls perfectly fitting in our plans

I feel almost like a fraud - we have got PG on the first cycle after an IUD! Went to get the IUD out, it was missing, had to get an ultrasound to see where it was, and found it must have fallen out. 3 weeks later... BFP!!! I am almost convinced it's not going to stick cos it's just been so easy (you know, Murphy and his blasted Law).
ANYWAY, no real symptoms here, just burping (whoever would have thought BURPING was a PG symptom? Got the same thing with DD). Have called a MW, and have first appointment on November 17. Have figured out that (all going well) we'll be 12 weeks at Christmas, so could be a good time to tell the family! |

Yep you are right Panda it did take DH and I a while to get our wee blessing about 17mths of trying. But it's here now and I'm so very greatful!
I'm a Registered Nurse working in General Practice, I'm lucky in that I work 3 and a half days a week. DH works in Information Management (thats the easiest way to describe it). Weird that they only gave you some of your results Panda are you sure they did an hCG? Some Drs don't think it's necessary. Nicolaann my sister is pregnant with her 2nd (8 weeks today) and she was saying she doesn't feel very pregnant at the moment. TBH I don't feel very pregnant most of the time either! This is my first baby too and I am due on the 4th July (we're due date buddies MrsMJD!) I'm 28 and DH is 28 and it has taken us 3 long years to get here! Started TTC in January 2008 when I was 25! This pregnancy is a result of my third IVF cycle. Looking forward to getting to know you all! And I have no symptoms either for those of you who are also symptomless. Kinda sore boobs but otherwise feeling pretty good. Wow july seems to be the month for those who have been trying for a while. We have been trying for 12months so am hoping this baby is sticky too.
I am very envious of those who are yet to discover the joys of MS, tiredness and the likes. I was the same with my son, completely exhausted and sick from just about day one right through till labour day. Yikes. I was telling myself it would be different this time. LOL. I'm super thirsty all the time - particularly want water and milk! ...plus I go to the toilet all the time...3 times in the night also...so annoying! Question - is anyone still drinking coffee now they're pregnant? I am having one cup a day still and think this should be ok...what does everyone think? |

I still do, this sorta throws everyone off the fact that im pregnant aswell. I've cut down from about 4-5 cups a day to 1. I'm not drinking coffee but I gave it up for my IVF cycle and I'm just a touch paranoid! Haha. I was a total coffee addict so even just having one would be like falling off the wagon I probably will have the occassional cup after I get past the 12 week mark though and by all accounts it's perfectly fine in small moderations. My skin is also looking really good and yes, totally thirsty! Especially during the night and I get really hot during the night too. Not really tired yet and no MS at all. Oh i am so glad i am not a coffee drinker! I do drink a lot of tea usually though but DH is all in to this pregnancy and so bought me decaf which i actually dont mind too much. All that i am really craving is V which i am not allowed

Not a regular coffee drinker here, but had one yesterday after falling asleep on the couch just before the kids woke up! ALWAYS the way! My sleep is awful at the moment, can't get to sleep, and wake up in the night totally wired. Was awake from 2.20-4.10 this morning
It feels like life has slowed down already - I almost wish I hadn't tested so early, even though AF was already late! With DD we didn't know until I was almost 6 weeks, and didn't get symptoms until 8 weeks. |

Panda, why can't you drink any V? I don't ask that in an ignorant way...because I do understand that as pregant women we have to be cautious about what we put in our mouths...however, my gf drank so much coca-cola during her pregnancy as it was pretty much all she could stomach. I presumed V was similar...or perhaps V has other ingredients that aren't pregnancy-friendly.
I hear ya SquishysMum...feels like this first 12 weeks is going to go on forever! I just want to be out of the "high risk" zone. So, when is everyone planning on doing a first scan? -------------

Pregnancy smacked me in the head this morning. Could not stomach the idea of food AT ALL! Also had a yuccky rolly nausea feeling. Bout 10.30 I managed to eat 1/2 a muffin but still not feeling "normal". Kinda pleased in a way cause it makes it feel a bit more real. I'm sure I'll get over that!! Not sure if we are going to have a scan at 7weeks part of me wants to but part of me thinks "why? I'm young(ish) I'm healthy, no reason to suspect a problem" as DH might have to make up my mind for me lol. ------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

Smiles on the back of the bottle it says your not meant to drink if you pregnant.. i think it has a fair bit of caffeine in it too as well guarana like Mum2Ollie says.. i was quite addicted and it was expensive (spending $20-30 a week on it and substituting it for food) so add that on top and its the easiest way to try and break my addiction
I have had two sips since finding out but i just felt guilty.. it makes my heart race when i drink it so dont want to risk it
mmm now i am thinking red bull too.. but instead i am going to get a bubble tea which for some odd reason i feel like, its nice and fruity flavoured with tapioca (sp?) balls at the bottom. Cant eat much either MrsMJD feeling blagh.. ------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

BUT I love the taste, so drink de-caf!! Always an option!! mmmmm decaf Vanilla latte - my fav!! hehe I got my hcg results from BT on Tuesday, and it was 10,000 - so YAY!! MW was pleased with that. Have a repeat test to do tomorrow, and hopefully my levels will have doubled! called my doctor back about the blood tests, apparently they dont test for HCG.. they say thats only to determine if i am pregnant.. i asked if i was just to assume everything was going as it should and she said yes unless you start bleeding.. Hmm cant wait to see the midwife next week i so hope she is better. Panda I was surprised to find out that hCG levels weren't the norm. My Dr added one because I was only just due for my period but won't do a follow up unless theres a concern.But you are right your Dr should have been a bit more understanding about it! My mw suggested the hcg BT after I was feeling so 'not pregnant' to check everything was ok, but I remember having hcg checked with both previous pregnancies as routine.

I have another HCG test tomorrow but that's because this baby is an IVF baby and I'm still under the care of the fertility clinic, I do think it's normal to have one and then wait for the scan unless you're considered high risk or have any concerns. GOOD LUCK GIRLS! Panda, bloating is completey normal..in your first trimester you'll feel you're tummy sticking out and you'll wonder if it's the baby...but it's not...just bloating (too early for first timers to be baby bump)...I remember my first time round...felt seriously bloated all the time...was yucky!
Ah MrsMJD, sounds like the dreaded MS has found you...I remember thinking "yay, now I feel pregnant" but those thoughts were vfery short-lived and soon followed by "oh my gosh, I feel like death", lol |

Yep, lots of little pulling, stitch-type pangs happening here. Couple of painful stabs, but mostly just feeling rather "full". Sometimes. hCG's aren't going to happen here in case something goes wrong, I used to work at the lab and know how crazy they can be. Would rather save myself the stress . Will probably have a 12 week scan for peace of mind before telling people.

Panda: Thanks Yep, bloated here too! I already look preggers! Aaaggghhh! I had some mild issues after IVF though with extra fluid which is contributing. I get mild cramps and that full feeling too and a few sharp pangs down in the belly area. So nervewracking! Hi BR so you are "officially" one of us!! Panda maternity care is free in this country (unless specialist care) regardless of funding etc You should not have had to pay!
Bloating check, crampy feeling (esp in the evening) check. So glad I'm "normal" lol.
Smiles so long as it stays as it is (kinda of rolly seasick feeling) I'm ok. LOL.
Told the boss today (He's a Dr so was gunna figure it out lol), DH said I could cause he was worried that trying to keep the secret at work would stress me out and make me sick! I work as part of a very small close knit team so mornings like yesterday are hard to hide!! I do have to admit it's nice that they know takes some of the pressure off.
My sisters friend is having baby number 3 today (via c section), it's a surprise baby, they decided to wait and see as they already have one or each. She is hoping for a boy lol.

MrsMJD we have a small group at work here too so the ladies know (not my bosses though!) it was a little hard to keep secret cos my nurse/doctor would ring and i would have to say words like midwife/anti natal so they cottoned on straight away (and one of them said my boobs are bigger!)

I had my 2nd HCG blood test today, and levels had doubled, so YAY!!! Great relief to know everything is ok! I feel a bit bloated too. Last night my tummy felt really heavy, and I just couldn't get comfortable to sleep - although the heat didn't help. I'm expecting to show pretty early, as I did the second time round, and things are even more stretched now! Not much else happening here. Only 1 friend knows I'm pregnant, so it doesn't really feel real yet as I can't talk about it with anyone else. I have started having a wee look at baby products already - I'm such a shopper!! I wont buy anything for a long time, but its fun to look!! If anyone needs any advice (IMO only lol) on any baby products, I'm happy to help. Have been there done that twice, and spent many many hours searching out all the best baby buys!! So exciting that a lot of you have had repeat HCG tests with levels where they should be :) I think I'll go in for my repeat on Monday and also have my first consultation with OB. I don't want to put a downer on things - I'm so glad I'm pregnant but I'm so scared of losing it again. What happened the first time was so devastating and whilst I've moved past it, it feels like it's come up again in my mind now that I'm pregnant again. I just want this first trimester to be over so i can calm myself a bit. I have a 75% chance that everything will be ok...so I guess I just have to be positive and hope everything works out...not like I can do anything to change what's going to happen anyway :-/ -------------

Oh one of the most annoying things i have noticed since finding out i am pregnant is just how rude smokers are! I am trying to avoid them whenever i can and hold my breath when i walk past them but some stand at traffic lights smoking, and one came into the bus shelter the other day and smoked and there were a few people there including a 2 year old

Hi all Am hoping to join your thread. Great to see the list is reasonably long already. I just got my BFP yesterday and of course had to poas at 5:30am this morning just to make sure it wasn't a dream! Hi girls! Im 25 and my husband is 38 yrs old. I was told by Dr today that Im 6 weeks pregnant. So Due date is mid July.
This is our first and Im SO freaked out at the moment, as I wanted this for SO LONG! And when it happend (kind of unexpectedly) - I was so happy but scared, as I really want to make sure everything will be OK.... Maybe its that Control-freak is coming out of me again... but I really need to realise that I am not in control anymore and my body has been over-taken by someone else! haha..... SO JUST WANTED TO ASK IF ANYONE ELSE HAS BEEN FEELING SIMILAR EMOTIONS? I read its normal to have mixed emotions, but Im so over worrying now and just want to be happy & relaxed... hehe |
