It seems E Coli infections are very common in pregnancy, especially connected with pain while urinating. My urine tests have shown slight to moderate signs, two weeks ago and again today. Sample was sent to the lab two weeks ago and there was no growth. Another one has gone away today. My midwife is now scratching her head and wondering whether to prescribe antibotics since I have no pain symptoms.
Anyone else been here?

Not everyone gets pain with UTI's and the Dr's I work for usually err on the side of caution and will give 3 days of antibiotics which should clear it.
E Coli is the most common cause of UTI's full stop, the reason they occur more commonly in pregnant woman has to do with our lowered immune response.
Good luck either way!

I had a UTI whilst pregnant and no pain symptoms, I didn't know I had it until it had become a kidney infection. I had antiobiotics for 7 seven days.
Apparently they are more common during pregnancy due to the relaxin hormone, and that is also responsible for not getting pain, as I normally get pain with them.
I drank a glass of canberry juice all throughout my second pregnancy and managed never to get one.
