Wow, six times a night! Crazy! I cut all night feeds to DS at eight months. Just decided he was old enough not to need it (luckily he agreed!). I know really feel it if he wakes in the night as I'm used to sleeping through! You must be shattered! Any idea why she wakes so often?

Its changed over time, it started out with low supply after I got mastitis, so she was feeding more often to boost it back up, then it was comfort since she has horrible food allergies, which we finally got diagnosed at 5 months, and its taken till about 9 months for them to be under control, shes still itchy and uncomfortable but way better than she was!
Im looking at night weaning her in a month or 6 weeks, DH is going to the states so will wait for her to get settled not having him around before I upset her nights...
It sucks and its tough, but you do what you have to do, I cant put her back

So I guess now its comfort, she doesnt need feeding to sleep any other time apart fromt he night, like when sh wakes, although the last couple of nights I managed to settle her with out a boob (and last night she gave me a 6 hour stretch (from 7pm tho)

I know! Cool to be at the start of the month this time

I am feeling almost constantly queasy and sometimes I think about throwing up but have avoided it so far! I am still drinking coffee though so ms hasn't set in like last time yet!

Have an early viability scan at 7 weeks so two weeks to go!

Hope you continue to feel good Emmi! Still pretty early days for ms though...

Welcome Hayzie! Ive added you to the list

Wow I cant believe how slow this month is!! And we have 2 people on each date! Weird!

Well I think I have a more heightened sense of smell (didnt last time!) keep noticing all sorts of random smells that I dont usually, and also sooooo tired! (which I had last time). Still no MS tho, but I will be 4 weeks tomorrow! So still plenty of time for that!

How are you guys going?

WB cramps = totally normal, as Tigerish said its things growing and expanding and a little embryo (or two?! ) burrowing deep, ready for the next 8 months

I've got to the 'need to eat before I'm sick' stage. Am constantly nauseous too. Not nice! DH has had a few days off work so its been nice to have help at home with DS. I keep thinking my symptons are just going to get worse around 6/7 weeks! Pretty tired too like you Emmi.

It does seem quiet in here, we're bound to have some expecting Christmas and NY babies in the next few weeks!

I keep checking in and expecting to see a huge number of newly pregnant women! Maybe we're destined to have a small intimate group instead!

Not much going on here. I did end up carrying my toddler for at least 1km today as he threw an absolute wobbly and wouldn't stay in the pushchair. So a bit stretchy sore now but still all good.

Im going to call my dr this morning and make an appt to go see her. Is anyone else getting their HCG checked? I want to get mine done and also see if I can get a dating scan cos I wanna know everythings ok this time round and to see how many we're having

Cramps have eased off a bit now, but I find Im not sleeping that great. Once Im awake Im awake no matter how early it is sucks cos Im so tired! Hows everyone else doing?

Becs, I'm still knicker-checking so it definitely takes a while to sink in!

I see my midwife next Thursday 16th so will talk to her about HCG etc then. I'm in the UK and they do things a bit different here. The midwife does take a ton of blood at the first appointment so I'm sure HCG is included!

I keep waiting for a bus load of people to join us too! Maybe it will just be us?!

It still hasnt sunk in for me yet... I havnt got AF back yet after having DD so its weird that I keep getting 2 lines on a preggy test!! I knicker checked every day through DDs pregnancy, but I guess thats the scar from having a MC, you dont trust anything ever again!
Oohh Tigerish your in the UK? Thats exciting! How long have you been there for? are you planning on coming back?

Im catching up with my MW tomorrow (hopeful MW, she was my student MW with DD and shes currently 3rd year) I think she can take me on as my LMC but she needs a supervisor or something? Will know for sure tomorrow anyway! (I really hope so, I AM going to have a VBAC this time and she is just awesome, so FXed!)

WB I wont get serial HCGs done this time, but I will get a dating scan (even tho I know my dates) but they will prob want to confirm it, and I want to use the latest EDD so hopefully I wont get induced... I still havnt been to the GP yet to confirm it, I want to wait another couple of weeks so I can get that scan

We live just north of Otaki so Im looking at either Levin or Palmy. Im thinking I might go for Palmy as hubbys bro has epilepsy and cerebral palsy due to having a stroke at birth due to lack of oxygen so we don't want to take any risks but we'll see how things go I think. Yeah we should meet up, we come over that ways sometimes, I've got a few friends over there! I think I've been pretty good, I've only done 3 but thats cos the lines nice and dark!

Oh wow, you are rather north huh! Sorry, no help on the MW suggestions then, but still get on to it! I think it helps if you know what you want for a birth/in a mw so you can ask some questions to make sure your both on the same page

Still a bit early for more people to join, but I'm sure we'll have plenty in no time. Both pregnancies have been through FET's so I've never bothered with HPTs. Did enough of them with no positives when we tried naturally and couldn't put myself through that again. They are monitoring my Hcg though and it's rising fantastically, so I feel reassured even though I don't feel "pregnant". I'm already booked in with my former MW, have my heartbeat scan in just under two weeks, but absolutely certain on dates. We are definitely having another surprise, we both think a girl at this stage, but I was wrong last time.

Yay, six weeks along! Lets hope the ms doesn't pick up, I'm managing fine as it is now. Went out for girls night last night. Its been so long since I've done that and it was lots of fun! And it has been so hot here that lots of people were drinking non-alc drinks so I didn't get any suspicious looks (my main worry about going!).

Hey guys, let me know if there is a better subject I should be putting my random questions on...I know everyone is different but at what stage has/did/expecting ms to kick in? I think I've only had a slight dusting of it so far and am waiting for it to kick in at full force.
Wantabub, so exciting telling your Mum. I'm glad I'm not the only nervous one about doing so!

Well we are back... every time we go away i swear Im not going any where ever again.. DD just does not sleep (literally up ever 1/2 to 1 hour!)
Thanks for updating the list WB!
Welcome Jessika and Tez!
I have to say, being PG first time around is a lot more exciting.. (dont get me wrong I am way excited, but Im also dreading the sleepless nights too, esp as DD still isnt sleeping great at all)
Yay for a fun night out Tigerish!! Awesome!
Tez, around 6-8 weeks is generally when MS starts to kick in... some earlier, some later and some never (touch wood!)
Oh WB I havnt told my mum this time yet... I dont want my sister to find out... and Im a little worried how shes goig to react.. will tell her next week after our scan tho. Your mum sounds cute!! How did you tell her?

I seem to be forgetting I'm pregnant which is nice. I was so obsessed the first time! Have my midwife visit on Thursday (its in the same building as the Dr's so hope I don't bump into anyone in the Dr waiting room!) and a scan on Saturday. Will be an exciting week!

We're in the UK for DH's work. Will be back in NZ in Aug 2012 so a while to go yet. I love it here so not sure if I want to go home, although I miss my family so much!

Welcome to the newbies!

Emmi, hope you manage to catch up on some sleep! I agree, sometimes going away is almost not worth the effort!

Ah no poor you Emmi, doesn't sound like much fun at all. Hope you manage to catch up on some sleep last night.

Exciting about your scan on Thursday Tigerish! I've just booked mine for Tuesday 26th April and got a nice early appointment so I don't have to wait all day for it. And I can totally understand not wanting to come home, I luv the UK!

Geee I wish I could forget Im pg, I think I just need to relax a bit more as Im feeling a bit stressed today for some reason. My sis thats pg didn't get any morning sickness, but Im hoping I get a wee bit this time round as I didn't get any with the bub I mc so hoping it will be a good sign for me!

Is anyone getting HCG bloods done? I went to the dr this morning but he was useless. Wasn't going to give me an early scan but went and asked someone else and eventually he did and gave me blood forms but there is nothing on them about hcg And to top it off they were going to charge me but I thought until 12weeks it was free? Think I better find a mv asap and see if she'll do them for me as it would give me a bit of peace of mind I think.

Thanks guys, had an okish (2-3 hourly wake ups) last night so not feeling too bad today! Been for a lovely walk along the beach today, I want to be fitter this time around so Im trying to find lots of walking partners! Oh and also got confirmation about my MW that I called on Fri, seeing her on Fri for our first visit!   Good thing about getting a homebirth MW, she comes to you!!

WB I thought the same last time aboout MS, but I sitll didnt get any and have DD to prove I was PG! This time Im hoping I dont get any, would be so much harder with another one to rin around after! I hope you get enough to put your mind at ease tho
Oh and I wont get HCGs done this time, I had them done last tiem and TBH didnt tell us anything! They ended up taking 11 days to double when i was nearly 7w (which is way too slow) so ended up freaking out more! But you need to do what you need to do to put your mind at ease, it really does suck after having a MC,all the 2nd guessing that goes on! Oh and your GP should be free but I think some are different? I know mine is tho...

Thanks for that advice on the hcg Emmi, I've decided not to bother about it now. Sounds like it can be just more added stress! I got in contact with a mv yesterday, we are meeting up next Tuesday which is exciting and then the Tuesday after that is my scan so I've got those appts to look forward to.

Welcome and huge congrats Ditzy, do you know your due date? Exciting there are a few of us now who are first timers

Yay 5 weeks today!!!!

Hi ladies... just thought I would pop on and introduce myself, found out I am pregnant again a few days ago but wanted to wait until my first Dr's appointment just to be sure!

Soooo know what you mean Ditzy about wanting to tell everyone... so hard to hold in. Also, we lost a baby last year 24 weeks into my pregnancy so feeling a bit mixed because I don't want to deal with well meaning people (like my Mother!) putting a downer on me when there is nothing to worry about.

Due 23rd December (Dr thinks, although I am convinced it is slightly earlier) - so looks like it is going to be an interesting Christmas for me.
