I know there is already a thread about this somewhere but i thought i would do a new one.
Mainly because i want to justify buying more but i think i have heaps already. I have: 28 large SIO's (including all limited bar one) 1 bebops 3 pop-in's 1 best bottoms (but never use it) 6 ecobub wool pockets 3 babyland Half my SIO's are still brand new so might sell them to get others. I want more bebops and Ive just seen the monk n bears

I HAD 15 ittis but now i only have 7 as the rest were small and Max doesnt fit 'em anymore. Am slowly building my collection again. Shame, i have so few...PillowFight and Aethelia are about to come shame me out  though thats a mighty collection you have yourself there!

Hmmmmm I think thats it, I did have more pockets but I sold them as I didnt like them/use them. The Ittis include all the colours (I think), all the new limited edition, a moo, 2x tiger and 2x love hearts (australia limited edition). -------------

WOW, are they all one size? i had to sell my M ittis to fund my L's. Still trying to sell the smalls (11 left).
I kept my s/m Limited Editions and bitti brites though ETA: i wont sell the larges anymore

$20 for the pop-in dream dri's. They are the version 2 ones and white in colour. I just dont like them, they dont hold enough pee. The originals are great tho. -------------

Good lord! Some of you have a lot of nappies! I have:
12 prefolds + microfleece liners 5 Bummis Whisper Wraps 1 Bummis Super Brite 6 Babycheeks pockets (plus heaps of inserts) 2 Babyfirst covers+inserts 1 Pop-in with dry night thingy 1 itti bitti boo That looks like heaps to me now that I type it out! The Babycheeks and Babyfirst stuff were all gifts, and four of the Bummis covers were second hand and very cheap. I've just seen Pillow_Fight's list though... 22 Bummis wraps! I actually use the prefolds and Bummis wraps the most as we've never had leaks with them. |

Hehehehe oh wow I wish I had as many nappies as some of you guys do! Have given away a lot of the girly ones that DD used so what we have now is:
Newborn 6x AI2s made by lady I buy my minky off 1x random AIO my friend gave me 2x home made AIOs 12x home made pockets 5x home made AI2s plus 30x flat nappies 10x covers (including Imse Vimse, not sure of other brands off the top of my head, all from my friend) Small/Medium 13x home made pockets 2x home made AI2s 1x Ecobubs wool pocket 1x Honeychild pocket 1x LittleButtons cover with 2x pop in bits Large 4x home made AIOs (don't like those but they work for back ups) OSFM 2x babyland pockets 2x babyluv pockets 5x pop in dream dris 1x pop in original 7x tuttos (4x limited editions) 3x Grovia prints hmm I was wondering if I could justify getting some more OSFA for when baby boy outgrows his mediums, but adding them up it seems I have 20 of them lol. Although 6 of those are night nappies... I have... 13 itti AIO (med) 9 itti AIO (large) 3 bitti boo (med) 3 bitti boo (large) 2 pea pods 2 yoyo covers 1 Thirsties cover 10 TM inserts 1 Monkey doodlez swimmer I'm trying to convince DH I need more large ittis, and I'm aso coveting the in a pear tree naps. -------------

I'm sooooo glad I didn't go down the MCN route as I think I'd have 100's LOL I decided to go with prefolds and Bummis Whisper pants before Roo was born. I bought: * 24 Bummis organic small prefolds * 18 Bummis organic regular prefolds * 8 New born Bummis Whisper Pants * 8 Small Bummis Whisper Pants I've added to that with various boosters and also 6 x medium Bummis Whisper Pants. I've sold the NB Bummis Whisper Pants, but I still use the small prefolds and pants during the day, and at night I use a regular prefold and medium pant with a big booster (he sleeps 12hrs). I saw some MCNs at the P&C show and can totally see why they're so addictive. Tres cute! |

15 mybaby pockets lent out to my SIL 15 babyland pockets, not in use atm, awaiting next baby 12 Itti Bitti Tuttos, with 6 extra snap ins 3 SIO Large but 2 need elastic fixing 1 AIO Large 1 SIO Medium, no longer in circulation, trying to sell it but its baby pink and noone seems to want it :( 2 Dream dri pop ins with 2 extra snap in sets 4 Popin night boosters to go with above. I tend to put the 2 extra sets in a pocket nappy though that wasn't the original intention. And to think my DH pulled a face when I told him I bought 3 new nappies yesterday... I should show him this thread!
I have: 16 medium Itti Bitti SIO's. That's it. My twin girls wear cloth all the time except to bed so I use 2 sposies/day. I sold my 13 small Itti SIO's as soon as the girls grew out of them and I've got 3 x Baby Beehinds on order so I can decide if I'll switch to those when the girls need to upsize. I have just moved my boy onto the next size up nappy (so am selling my 9 medium SIO Ittis) and so far I have in my nappy stash:
8 Large SIO Ittis (with two more on the way) 14 Large Popolini 2 Eenie Meenie prefolds (but these are just back up and hardly get used) I went on the recommendation of my SIL for the Popolini and got them all before I had even had DS (was using her hand-me down smalls of them up til recently) and while they're a decent nappy I just love the minky goodness of Ittis - sadly no one wanted to buy my Popolini's before I started/needed to use them so I wasn't able to increase my Itti stash how'd I like to! ------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

Gosh I feel better.
Most of our NB size nappies were trial or hire packs... so left with: 9 size 1 bamboozles now using: 12 size 2 bamboozles Three YoYo snap-ins plus extra set for each eight YoYo pockets Four YoYo bamboo pocket night nappies Four YoYo medium covers Five Tots Bots covers but we don't use them so much, I prefer the YoYo covers. 26 plus 4 night nappies. Not too bad! I'd better do some more shopping ;-) (oh plus lots of microfibre & hemp & bamboo stuff for inside the pockets) |

I should think that will be ok for now. When you get your baby into them and you get to know how they are working get more, or try some other brands ETC I started off with 15 peopods before my first was born. As a newborn, babyM mainly managed with 13?14? fitted nappies and four covers. On the odd day (when washing didn't dry, or we didn't put it on till late or something) I'd sometimes use a couple of others. But not often. We usually washed once every two days as well.
There's a very big difference between how many you NEED, and how many you want! Also as babies get older, you get more in to using different nappies for different uses. As a newborn, it was a nappy change every couple of hours night and day (well, night was every three-four hours or so when she woke for feeds), and the same nappy each time. But now, we have nappies for night time (extra absorbent and comfy). Nappies for going out days (pockets, easier to deal with). Snap-ins - good for times when you're in and out of nappies frequently for whatever reason. And then fitteds with covers for general use! |
