Hi All
Our son is on Neocates and has been doing really well on it. He's now at the point where he wants to feed himself so i'm trying to find recipes to accommodate for his milk allergy. The doc also told me to be cautious with egg until he's 1yr old. Anyone know of any recipes with no egg and i can substitue the milk with his formula. I especially would like a loaf recipe that i can make both sweet or savoury. Even scones or muffins would be great.
Thanks

if you got to the everybody message board...there is an allergy section on there, and they will be able to help you out with recipes and stuff.
and recipes with egg in them can be substituted out (my boy is has a reaction to egg white).
you can buy a egg substitute powder from the gf section of the supermarket or its half banana for 1 egg.
if you google egg substitutes it will tell you all the substitutes, google neocate recipes as well, and you will find some
good luck

Ask Neocate for a recipe book.
I made pancakes as finger food, you'd need to use a egg substitute though.
Scones just switch the milk for a substitute, if you use rice/soy/oat milk then you can eat them too. I just switch the butter for oil. Same thing with muffins.

Yea I love the muffins recipe in the Neocate recipe book, (Ring them on the 0800 number), I've used it for Birthday cakes too. Today even substituted the cocoa powder for Rhubarb and they turned out Fab :)
Pikelets:
1 cup self raising flour, 1/2 to 1 cup of Rice milk (I use that rice dream stuff as my son will get a rash from the additives in the other rice milks), and 1TBS olive oil. Fab with golden syrup.
I did try a loaf once but chucked the recipe out as it took me forever just to make it. Just do the muffins now they're so quick.
You know Olivani spread is the only dairy free spread?
