Hi I am completely new to cloth nappies. I really have no idea where to start. I've heard all about itti bittis and others but at the start I don't really want to spend that much on them in case I don't like it.
I've seen some on trade me like Little Lamb, Babyland and Mino. Can anyone recommend these, are they good nappies or are cheaper ones like these a waste of money?
I would love any suggestions or recommendations. I'm nor even sure what type to start with, my DD is 2 months old.
Thanks

I used Little Lamb bamboo nappies for the first few months and they were great...decided I didn't want to use a fitted nappy and cover combo so ended up going with itti bittis and Grovias as my main nappies.
Little Lamb nappies are very soft and easy to use but not that trim...even in the bamboo and took a while to dry. I wouldn't get the cotton ones, I reckon they'd be too bulky and no absorbent enough.
I don't know much about the other ones, but I think Babyland are pocket nappies... I'm not a fan of those and have never used one so don't have any advice about them.
You could get away with 6 itti SIO and 6 additional inserts and wash every 1-2 days (part time use, using a disposable at night or invest in a couple of OSFA night nappies too?) and that wouldn't be too expensive...depending on your DD's weight she might already fit mediums which would last till about 1yr, maybe longer... Just an idea.

If you are going to get the cheap pockets off TM then you should pay roughly $50 per 5 pack (with two inserts). My baby, Babyland and Sunny baby are all okay brands. They are great to get you started on cloth.

Thanks I think I'll give them a go and then if I want to keep using cloth I could always get some more reliable brands later on.
I'm still confused about what type I should be using. But I will just have to try different ones to see what suits us.

I use sunnybaby and babyland pocket nappies and they are great! I have found them really reliable(I couldn't justify spending heaps on something that was getting pooped in lol)

Gives you info about the different types of nappies and inserts etc and pros and cons for each. Might be helpful...
