Hi Girls
Have just completed yet another round of ivf/icsi, however when egg collection came i ended up having no eggs to collect!! It looked like i had Ovulated prior to collect (as what FS said on the day) - we are very upset as you can imagine

Just had follow up appointment and the same FS who said looked very much like i O early, now says that could of been "empty follicles". This is hard to accept because i had good number of follys with scans and my e2 levels were rising well and a good number...(hhmmm maybe said that so they dont have to take any responsibility and give us our $$ back??) who knows..

I understood that your e2 levels correspond with how many mature eggs you have? isnt that right? seems strange that they now saying could be EFS.

How can this be?????????

Has anyone encountered this or similar and went on to have a BFP - I really need some encouragement as Im feeling rather dispondent and upset about the whole thing

My AMH test was ok about 20 mths ago (1.4 or level 10), and just had another BT yesterday to see where my amh levels are, hope they havnt dropped too much, should ge the result within a week or so

Any comments appreciated x

Sorry you've been through this. What a horrible thing to happen.

I can't comment on the IVF cycle, but in relation to the E2 level and corresponding with how many mature eggs you have, in theory yes, but I've just done 2 x fully monitored clomid cycles through FA in Hamilton, and the E2 levels I got at CD10 were really good, so when I had my scans on CD11, they were surprised to see only two follicles. Each time, there was 1x immature one at 1.5 cm and 1x mature one at 2.2cm. But they expected to see more. So I'm not sure if that holds any relevance to the treatment you've experienced or not.
