I think I might drift between here and due in may thread. As I can't quite get my due date sorted. Ovulated about the 10 th of the months so think that would make me 2nd of June, but I could also have ovulated on the 7 th so that would make me end of may. Will have to wait for scan results.

3 positive HPT's today. Yup, THREE, because I still don't believe it! AF not due til Fri/Sat and we've been TTC #2 for the last year and a half, so I'm still trying not to get too excited, but after calculating Due Date on fertilityfriend.com using my last AF I'm due (hopefully, fingers x'd for a sticky) 10 June.

Nope, nothing. Hence why I did yet another (positive) HPT today! I don't have any of the signs I was expecting from my first pregnancy, so I'm hoping tomorrow my boobs start aching so then at least thats another sign.
I honestly still don't believe I'm pregnant, as AF wasn't due until tomorrow or Sat, so maybe after the weekend with AF a no-show I might start believing it...

White rabit I'm the same. I don't have any of the same symptoms I've had with my other pregnancies even the ones I've MC'd. Im wondering if it's coz it's still early. I got my HCG results today 790 Monday and 2334 today.

I'm not feeling that bad either. A little 'wierd', big boobs that are a little tender and peeing heaps. HCG Monday for me was 550 and 1250 yesterday so thats really reassuring after 2 MC's. FX'd for third time lucky! Still can't quite believe it!

Thats awesome, HCG levels are supposed to double daily or something ay? I haven't been for my bloods yet, will wait til after the weekend, hopefully I'll be feeling a bit more UTD by then!
I'm in Ohaeawai (10mins East of Kaikohe) why's that?
Oh and, maybe I have had a few signs, I've been peeing heaps (or at least feeling like I need to pee) and have had such a sore lower back like I usually get before AF, and some cramping. I f I hadn't caved and tested I'd honestly be convinced my AF was coming today or tomorrow.
GOD, I hope it's for real...

Hi there, brand new to this site.
I have been trying for a little over a year, had an early and very light AF this month and felt a bit off so did a test and got a BFP yesterday morning, I still can't really believe it.
According to FF due date is 2 June 2012.
When do people first go to doctors and that sort of thing??
|
Posted By: Atiamuri
Date Posted: 01 October 2011 at 8:38am
Morning a little bird, congratulations! Its completely up to you but on your first Dr visit they'll do your first antenatal bloods, give you info on food precautions during pregnancy, confirm your due date and give you info on midwives in your area for you to contact. If you're unsure of your dates or you have any history of gynae problems they may want you to have an earlier scan than 12 weeks. They'll also do a health check and ensure you're taking the right pregnancy supplements. If you want a good midwife they usually book up super fast so you best get onto it i'd say! I just had my first visit yesterday.
I'll be having a scan at just after 6 weeks and weekly HCG checks just to be sure things are progressing as they should given my history. Can't wait for a scan with a little heart beat to help slow my worries...
Anyone else's boobies have a life of their own?!
Ooops sorry about the novel!!

Congratulations june mummies!
I think i an due june 1st, but im not 100 percent sure of my dates because im still breastfeedind my 6 month old, so no AF to go by. Needles to say this baby is a supprise, we only found out yesterday, and while we are extremely happy, its a little overwhelming and im still in a state of shock.
I knew i was pregnant cause i got the same aversion to certain smells (the freezer) as last time!
Anyway, looking forward to getting to know you all and supporting eachother over the coming months.

Hi all and congrats.
Found out I was preggers last Monday. We TTC for 6 years. Had one ectopic. Had first IVF in August and it worked! Still really apprehensive and praying the little poppet will stay in there - it's still so early. Due 1 June. I have my first scan mid October to check all is well.
Symptoms are bloating, sore slightly larger breasts, slight twinges in my abdomen and frequent urination. I'm taking progesterone supplements though that unfortunately have the same side effects so wouldn't have a clue if it's the pregnancy or the drugs.

Hey guys. Congrats to those of you with a bfp and baby dust to those of you ttc. I did two ordinary clear blue test this morning and the both came up with the control line and another very faint line straight away. does this mean they are positive. I am so confused.

Thanks white_rabbit.I just have to try to convince dh that its a positive. I have had a lot more headaches than usual and a metallic taste in my mouth so that put together with af being late I had my suspicions.I have had chronic mood swings as well. DH just thinks i have permanent pms. I hate the "oh is your period due?" question from dh whenever he thinks I am moody. I haven't known whether to laugh, cry or have a fit of rage or all three lately.

Thankfully this TWW isn't as painful as 'that' TWW White Rabbit... I'll book the scan tomorrow for mid the week after probably. Might tell my folks if its all good news after that. Will probably hold out on DH's parents as last time we told them they said 'don't get too excited'. Yes well that was totally the wrong thing to say!!
Anyone told anyone yet?
Poor Dan Carter hey...

How is everyone feeling?
We have told our parents...it still doesnt seem real, does anyone else feel like that? I did 2 HPTs and both were very strong positive but im worried i will go to the doctor and they will say sorry you're not pregnant!!
By the way,do you make your appointment with the doctoror the nurse? I cant remember from last time.

Worst nightmare ever Hayley! I'd agree... How do you 'actually' know without seeing a little alien on scan and having a baby bump?
I have always seen my GP, nurse took bloods the GP ordered. First visit they like to do a couple of checks too I think.
One minute I think I'm definitely UTD, the next I think its all a dream!

Anywho, on a fitness note, it wouldn't do any harm if I did weights to tone my arms would it? I don't want them to get all blegh and flabby like they did last time. Why do chicks lose tone and get chubby arms when they're pregnant? And they're SO hard to get back! I figured if I do weight reps then i can try and keep at least some of the flabbyness at bay.
Probably should be the last thing I worry about, but being Summer soon I'll no doubt be going either sleeveless or short sleeved.
It wouldn't be detrimental to the health of my unborn, would it?

I'm going to tell a few more people at maybe 8 weeks? If I canwait that long. Some people say to wait in case something goes wrong, then you have to untell people, but in may case I told most people when I was 6 wks with my first and if something went wrong then I'd have more support people. Thankfully, that never happened!
I'm only just 4 weeks, so no point hopping up and down singing about it just yet...

A little scare for me today, thought I'd started spotting so freaked out and called my GP and had another HCG today... 7750 so easily doubling every 48 hours or so. Thank GOODNESS. I'm still a little nervous though given my history! Thankfully my boobs are still sore. Will have another on Wednesday just to be sure. Scan next week and a heart beat will be even more reassuring. It's going to be a looooong wait till 13 weeks!
Hope everyone else is ok!!

Hey guys. I still can't convince dh that I got two very weakly positive pregnancy tests. He thinks that the tests start off like that or that they are both false positives because of all the stress I've been under??? AF is now about 6 days late. I don't know what is going on. I don't really feel that pregnant. Sort of similar to when I had a chemical pregnancy. I now have lower back pain and a pain that comes and goes where my right ovary may be.I honestly don't know what could be going on. How common is it to get false positives??? I wish I just knew for sure what was going on RIGHT now.
|
Posted By: dneyn
Date Posted: 03 October 2011 at 8:18pm
If your test is showing up with 2 lines within the set time frame such as 10 mins then definately not false. Your more likely to get falsenegitives then false positives. I don't feel pregnant and it's not uncommon in the first few weeks. Usually symptoms don't really start until 6 weeks.
Also the pain in your right ovary area could be your corpus lutem, it's what helps control your hormones and stays there until your placenta is fully formed around 12 weeks
Go get your GP to do some HCG bloods. That will definately confirm it. But I'm in the camp of your UTD. Congrats!

morning all
Hayley - my GP use to send me for scans and bloods when i never knew, have u talked to any midwifes yet?
done another HPT early this morning another faint positive was kinda expecting a quicker and darker result but hey at least it still positive.
Told DH he excited now but got a bit of a shock at first lol, parents are happy too.

Kelz - I was talking to my midwife friend and she said that the lines on HPT's are no indication of HCG levels. She said the same thing as us - a line is a line no matter how faint! How did you tell DH?
@confused??? - I am still getting back pain (which is exactly like the pains I get before AF arrives) and I too am having the twinges in my right ovary. Lovey, DH needs a reality check - go to your GP and get some HCG bloods done, because I'm pretty sure you're UTD too!
Oh, and if you're 6 days late I'd be pretty sure it wasn't a chemical pregnancy. That was one thing I was worried about, but AF due date has been and gone, so now it's just the next 7-8 weeks I'll have to keep my nervous self busy!

Yep its pretty scary. A scan at this stage won't give us an answer. You won't see a heartbeat until after 6 weeks. The best we can hope for is that bloods tomorrow show my HCG levels are still rising as they have been and should be. I'm kind of used to this sort of waiting unfortunately. Can't face work however... I'm in a medical profession and just can't give sympathy to other peoples problems at the moment. I'm being selfish but at the end of the day no one is more important than me and my health right now. Chronic boob poking... they're still a little sore. So I'm holding onto a little hope...

My midwife friend gave me two slips for bloods. I'll get one lot done tomorrow and then again on Friday, to make they're increasing. I love having a midwife friend, as I don't want to sort an LMC just yet!
atiamuri - fingers x'd and lots of sticky vibes for your bean!

Hey all,
GP visit was not very eventful, went back in this morning for bloods and just have to wait around to start with the midwife. I live in a small area so it's not like I have a choice or anything - one less thing to worry about I guess.
As far as symptoms/signs I have sore boobs, am super tired and need to wee way more often, some cramping started last night but didn't last for very long.
Fingers crossed for you Atiamuri
Roll on 12 weeks!

How do you guys get the little info bits on your tickers? I couldn't see where to add them in when I was doing mine, and that was the main reason I wanted it....
Unless they don't have any info for 4 weeks!

Hi all! Looks like I'll be joining you..!
I'm still BFing Alex so my cycles have been all wonky. By dates I would've been 8.5 weeks, so I went for a scan yesterday which gave me a due date of 1st June (5.5 weeks).
GP is going to be referring me to the hospital team as I have some funky antibodies that need monitoring closely. I don't mind though, wasn't too fond of my MW experience last time after I ended up seeing 5 from the practice (all at the end of my pregnancy/postnatal care) anyway!
Hmmm. Guess I should sort out another ticker.

When you go to set up the ticker you choose between development stages and days and weeks. You're after the development one. :)

A few of us that don't know when we're due as we're breast feeding then. My youngest is 17 months, and as I'm still feeding her I've only had one period since I had her, and that was at least two months ago. Almost 100% sure that I'm not very far along though, maybe 4 or 5 weeks at most. Have been testing fairly regularly, just to make sure, and was getting negatives until this week. I didn't feel pregnant before now either, and this being number 4, I'm sure I'd know.
That said, I've already forgotten so much, I feel so hungry, can't remember that from last time. Bit tired too, although that might be because I've had a full on week!

Thanks ladies. Fingers crossed. Emotionally I am all over the show today, struggling to keep it together really! Then again I am a control freak and something like this is very much out of my control.

It's hardly surprising you feel like that, it's horrid not knowing, nothing helpful to say, just hope that it all goes ok for you. I think everyone feels emotional at this stage though, which certainly doesn't help does it?

Thats is the most frustrating thing about this whole process, from TTC to well, when baby gets here, is that none of it has anything to do with us. We can only do so much, but really, we don't get much say in it at all!

I agree, It is the hardest time, Emotionally i have been a wreck also got 2 positive tests on sunday on home jobs then went to the nurse yesterday to confirm and she took two tests that were both nagative...i was in shock to say the least, So she sent us to get blood test and that was positive. so the last few days have been an emotional rollercoaster...and I am preuming the next 10 weeks or so will also be a rollercoaster of emotions.
On another note: How do you put a ticker on your posts?

You'd think that it would get easier, but I don't think it does. Although I've been there before, I think I've got more nervous each time round. I'll be a nervous wreck by the time it's time for a scan....

I've had cramping today and lower back pain. Have been panty spotting but nothing there. Was nearly tempted to go to ED. It feels like period pain, I get dull constant ache and that's what I've been having!

Wow, heartburn this early dneyn? Or do you usually get it?
I'm off for bloods today, then back again Friday. I didn't do this for my first - all I had was one bloodtest first thing in the morning and it was a fasting one to check my nutrition levels. When they came back the doc asked if I was a vegetarian (and didn't believe me when I said no) because my B12's were so low. This time round I thought I'd get a jump on them so I've been eating lots of greens and eggs, and now I don't even have to do that test?! What a gip. I didn't have to go back for a second bloodtest 2 days after to check HCG was rising.... then I didn't have a scan til I was 12 weeks! One bloodtest when I was 4 weeks then a scan when I was 12weeks.
L O N G E S T 8 weeks EVER.
Now I have to go and psych myself up to do this one. HATE needles. I think it stems from beig on the Depo shot many many years ago. Stupid Depo.
