Just wondering if anyone here is / has used Fertility Associates? How was / has your experience been so far?
What treatment did you / are you using?

We are currently doing our second cycle of IUI and keeping all fingers and toes crossed! Just a bit confused about the process as I think they may have missed my LH surge in the 1st cycle..it seems they may have taken my blood test too late, but they still went ahead with the insemination?

Would love to hear from others about their experiences with Fertility Associates and anyone who may have conceived?

Hi,

I am with FA in Welles, and although we haven't been successful yet I have absolutely loved the experience, All of the doctors and nurses are wonderful. I was with another specialist before them who just decided I didn't ovulate without taking bloods, put me straight on clomid and no success. Since we have been at FA have determined our main barrier is scar tissue, have had 3 rounds of IUI (2 more days til BT to see if this round is successful), and a cervical dilation. Our BFN's are due to nature nothing they have done, and I am confident if we are ever to get our baby dream it will be because of them. Hope that helps and good luck!

Thanks Buttonz!

I have also found the team at Welly FA absolutely wonderful, except for one doctor who treated us so appallingly we had to ask for another one and the staff did not seem surprised..?

I was just curious why the bloods were taken only every second day from CD10 even though they knew I had short cycles. Also that they send text messages for next blood tests, not phone calls and don't communicate the results of blood tests etc. to us?

Have you ever received your blood test results from them?
I'd like to say I trust the process but when you're paying so much per cycle I feel I would like to be kept in the loop...?

Good luck and baby dust..the 2WW is the craziest roller-coaster ride!

I got most of my instructions and results via text unless it was something abnormal, and they always went through it at scans if I asked for it (I'm just one of those people who ask a lot of questions I think, like to know what is going on and why). I seemed to need scans every couple of days and bloods every day with my treatment, but I think my results were pretty up and down so needed it, and it really is a case by case basis.

I think if you tell them you want more information they will give it to you, it may just be a case of telling them your expectations as everyone going through this would want different levels of information.

Good luck with your current round.

Thanks Buttons!

They have finally started to send me blood results and even gave a full result print out at the second IUI! So very pleased and it seems they were really onto-it this time. I figure it may have been the Xmas break that threw things out a bit for them.

Actually I have been quite impressed with everyone else at the clinic and the nurse today doing our IUI was just wonderful!

Yay - another 2ww! Or as we like to call it 2 week bake..

Good luck to you also..

HI just thought that I would add my experience here too!! I went through FA in hamilton and I give them all the credit for this little bean
It took just one first initial appointment to work out a plan of action I almost cried walking out that first day because I had so many answers to my questions that my local GP and OB just left me hanging!! After 7-8 cycles of clomid and a few review appointments I am finally expecting!! I can't sing their praises enough!! I wish I had gone straight to them from the beginning without having to endure endless miscarriages and no diagnosis for 3 years!

Wishing you your BFPS soon.

I too have been under FA Wellington and have had two very positive experiences with them - the latest being just two weeks old! They always rang me with the results and were always happy to answer any questions.

Wishing you all the best for your journeys.

We used FA Hamilton and got great results.
Right off the bat they sent me for a HSG scan which confirmed that my 1 tube (i had a ruptured ectopic a number of years ago which resulted in the removal of one) was pretty much blocked. So they put us on the IVF wait list immediately. We got bumped up 3 times meaning we only had a 12 month wait.
We had a pretty sweet 1st cycle, i did over stimulate on the drugs which meant i had to coast for 3-4 days but ultimately we got 1 great little embie who is due in 6 weeks time.
So i couldn’t be more happy with the service there. The nurses especially. I look forward to using them again to get this one some siblings!

I found FA Wellington absolutely terrible! Maybe things have changed since I went through there. I hope so!!!!
