We hope you all can come to Babywearing Wellington's next slingmeet
from 10 am on Friday 13 April, 2012
at the Southern Cross
"http://www.thecross.co.nz/" - http://www.thecross.co.nz/ 39 Abel Smith St, Te Aro, Wellington.
We're very happy to report that we're back in the Guest Room which is less noisy and much more comfortable for a group our size!
We have a short presentation on a particular aspect of babywearing, followed by an informal session when you can try a range of different carrier types, ask any questions you like, hire a carrier from our library or just chat with some friendly folk over a coffee.
This month's presentation is about babywearing safety.
Hester will talk about about safe baby positioning, things to be aware of with different carrier styles, and about the ins and outs of baby facing outward.
We're happy to answer any questions you may have about all aspects of babywearing and about any type of baby carrier. Please feel free to bring any questions you have with you on Friday, or contact us at any time.
Baby carrier library
Babywearing Wellington members can hire baby carriers from our "library" for $5 per week. Our library includes stretchy wraps, a woven wrap, mei tais, a Manduca and an ErgoBaby carrier. It only costs you $10 to join, and all proceeds go towards running and updating the library, and to keeping our meetings free.
You don't have to wait until the slingmeet to hire a carrier or become a member: Contact us anytime via email to mailto:babywearingwellington@gmail.com - babywearingwellington@gmail.com ... or come along to Friday's meeting.
Want to know more?
More information about our carrier library, and about Babywearing Wellington, can be found on our blog "http://babywearingwellington.blogspot.com/" - http://babywearingwellington.blogspot.com/ and on our Facebook page "ttp://www.facebook.com/babywearingwellington" - http://www.facebook.com/babywearingwellington
Bring your friends!
Our meetings are open to the public, so please feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested - friends, family, other mums and dads... you don't have to have a baby to be a babywearing supporter!
Hope to see you there!
