Hi Anzac,
I have only been here 6 months or so but just had a baby 4 weeks ago so getting involved with plunket ect which helps to connect to different coffee groups. Babies are good way to get connected with other mums. There are other groups in area also but its very hard to find them. What area are you?

HI Anzac
How old is your little one? Which area are you in? I agree with Inspired_Jurny plunkets a really good place to start. Ask them to send you their newsletters.

Hi there,
Depending where you are there are quite a few groups. If you are close to Amberley Plunkets next meeting is the 17th Sept at 10.30 I think (details in the latest hotline). Playcentre is in Amberley (Tues & Fri 9.30-11.30 - see the website) and Leithfield (Mon & Fri I think). Amberley also has Frisky Feet at the library which is a fortnightly music for babies - 5, Jumping J's gym (Mon 1.45 at the domain (they are on FB but probably best for 6months plus). Aquatic Journee has swimming classes for age 6months and up. Can you tell I am from Amberley??? . Loads in Rangiora to! If you need any more info - personal message me & would be happy to chat.

Hi Eb,
I am between woodend & Rangiora so likely to stick to Rangiora side of things, Do you know of groups that would suit someone with a 4 week old baby? I haven't been here long either and still trying to find my way aournd.
Cheers

Hi
Its a hard time adjusting to life with a baby when you are used to working. I am back at work now but struggled for a while with the isolation. My advice - lots of getting out & walking.
I am not so knowledgable on the Rangiora area but did meet one of the ladies that runs the Group - Mothers Supporting Mothers (ph 312 9787) who seemed nice, and Rangiora Plunket have a coffee group that meets twice a month (1st & 3rd Monday 10-11am). Kaiapoi Library has a storytimes session for babies but I am not sure when it runs but I am sure if you gave them a call they would help. Right better actually get back to work - Good luck

Thanks so much people for your responses! It doesn't take much to help someone out and make such a difference in their day to day life.
Now we just have to wait for AnzacAugust to pop back to check out your ideas!
