Hi everyone,

I would love to talk to people and your experiences from either been an egg donor or using an egg donor.

I have been asked by a long time friend to donate an egg. I would love to help her in becoming a mother but at this stage im unsure if I'm emotionally prepared for the longterm implications.

Hi Rach

I haven't donated or used a donor egg. But I hope this link helps you get started. http://www.fertilityassociates.co.nz/donor-services/become-an-egg-donor.aspx. The PDF seems to be very comprehensive.

Hi Rach. It's so kind of you to even consider this - whether you end up donating or not, you friend is very lucky to have your support. Have you come across www.nz-surrogacy.com? The site is a forum for people who have donated eggs/looking for egg donors (and also for surrogates as the name suggests). I'm sure there would be lots of ladies on there willing to share their experiences with you.
