I have read online that they dont cover infertility or investigation into it....would and HSG be considered as an infertility procedure? Has anyone claimed for it?

I have, I claimed it as an "investigation xray into polycystic ovaries" and they covered it Just don't mention it's related to infertility.

Good luck - just be aware if you have complained in the past (no matter how long ago about 'womans issues' (eg painful period) they can say no.

I am still pretty angry about their treatment of me.

I hope your run with them is better!

Good luck!

Thanks Sag76 - My referral is from a fertility group so im hoping thats not against me. Worth a try i guess? I have never had any issues with periods. Might give the specialist a call and see if they can shed any light on how i go about claiming.ie. what reasons they have given the radiology place.

When my FA Dr referred me for a lap operation, she wrote the referral on her 'Angelsea Women's' letterhead rather than her FA letterhead (since she, like most lady-bits Drs, works at a number of places). Is this an option for you?

I paid for mine myself and then claimed after the event, that way I had a receipt from Auckland Radiology and there was no reference to the fertility clinic.
