Hi Ladies, I have had two IVF w isci cycles (male factor infertility), one a BFN and one a BFP ending in MC both with nothing left to freeze. We are moving forward with a third cycle early next year and are thinking about trying ivf with imsi has anyone gone down this path after previous failed cycles? I would love to hear any feed back

Hey Jacq, your story is identical to mine. I haven't tried IMSI, I'm not even sure if our clinic does it! | Epic- I don't know if your in New Zealand but if so it is only at the Auckland clinic, it's not funded and a wee bit more expensive but from the research I've done it gives you an extra chance. Some researchers had labeled it super isci. I've got a follow up appt this month where we are going to make the next plan I feel like it's my only chance. |

Poppy - from what I understand, imsi is icsi, with the added step of sperm being selected with ultra-high magnification first to make sure they look completely normal. So helps if sperm morphology is an issue (rather than just quantity or motility which icsi helps with). ------------- Me: 35, PCOS, endo, DH: 34, severe MFI 6+ yrs TTC#2 M/C 2012, clomid 2013, IVM 2014, IVF 2015, M/C 2015 2016 FET#1- BFP - MMC - Emergency D&C FET#2 - BFN Jul 16 - stage 3 endo removed. Thanks mushrooms, that explains it. My boyfriend has antisperm antibodies but unsure if the sperm are abnormal or not, so might look into that |
